  1. Thanks! Someone said they were great for an ancient camera. I think "ancient" is a bit strong for merely 45 years old. MrPR could later upload some from his MUCH older camera, even the 1920s Kodak Folding Camera! DO add more dog pictures on this site, let's have some COLOUR!
  2. Hi, sorry no not for me. I am addicted to Planet Rock.
  3. Oh PLEASE do!! This is the thread for it! Tony.London Suburbs Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Any more of this and I shall buy the correct > equipment and inflict on you my photos of my 4 > beautiful West Highland Terriers from my phone > pics.
  4. I have just reloaded the lot as they got lost on their move to the Lounge. Sorry for taking up all your time, folks. If any of the owners want to have a copy of these photos for themselves in the large format with all them millions of pixels, or even to borrow the original negative, please contact me!
  5. ask the Moderator. Now I can not even see the photo images except the last two and it has taken me ages.
  6. The last two (sent again as they disappeared during their walk to the lounge. THANKS Moderator... Grrr) This next one is my favourite (why are none of the images appearing all of a sudden. DON'T MAKE ME DO ALL THIS AGAIN!) Bye bye!
  7. I think these are a bit arty - I like getting on the ground to see things through the dogs' points of view! (Oh *Bob* ya ruined me thread of me thread!)
  8. Hi all - I took photos of dogs at the Fete on my 45 year old Kodak Brownie 127 black and white roll film. MrPR developed the film then put the negatives through his negative reader and photoshopped them a little for clarity, and I have photoshopped them for web publishing size. Enjoy! PLEASE add your own to this thread though!
  9. Edited as I have now done the work and they walked over to the LOUNGE PLEASE NOTE: THESE PHOTOS ARE TAKEN ON A 45 YEAR OLD Kodak Brownie 127 black and white roll film camera. Below should be the sunflowers, which itself was taken on a 13 year old film!
  10. Sopers gets my vote.
  11. Nope, still Annie Nightingale.
  12. Can't stand the idiot either. Saw him doing a TV show being a road trip on a Harley across USA, with another American 'proper' biker, and Ian Wright came across as childish, immature, irresponsible, lazy and an idiot. The other guy did all the work whilst Ian Wright posed for the camera constantly. Typical spoilt overpaid man-child who has never had to grow up. But then there's lots of men like that on our screens! Apart from the above I have no opinions at all.
  13. yeah! Get some stocks in! Some peer pressure to Pink Floyd's The Wall!
  14. Edited out for reasons of stuff.
  15. Whilst a bit harsh, I must also report that some families on our estate found little for the kids to do (face painting, what WOULD we do without it) and also it was expensive for some families on benefits. One of the face painters which was free finished early. It would be great to have more for kids to do which was free or at least subsidised/cheap. Not having kids I'd say this is one for the families. Could not groups of parents get together and organise something/s?
  16. silverfox, for the love of the gods I don't believe in, give it a rest or start a separate thread! This is feedback on the Peckham Rye FETE.
  17. Annie Nightingale. With Johnnie Walker when she's on holidays. No contest.
  18. I delivered my carrot cake at about 2.30pm. I then queued up for a ?2 Pimms and then looked back at the cake area. My cake which I thought could be carved into 12 reasonable slices had been carved into about eighteen and nearly all gone. Wow! I don't have much time or facilities (or money, to be frank) to do more but I would like to. Maybe next year, eh. As for all this nonsense about boundaries and names, may I remind us all that we are LONDONERS. And this nonsense reminds me of everytime I get a form from Southwark or somewhere asking me for my colour background race creed, I reply by asking them in turn to remember the things that UNITE us, rather than banging on about what makes us different. Dear East Dulwichers, you were most welcome in our park/common large bit of grass on Saturday. ;) Now, as for something like a antique/classic motorcycle rally, I would not have the first idea how to organise it. It was just an idea. Good one, though! Another idea might be getting some professional improviser/actors and do a recreation of the time in 1804 the public fought and successfully won the right to keep Peckham Rye Park for the public use. Would be fun to involve the kids booing the aristocracy who wanted to keep it for themselves. Bit of 'istory and education all in one. And more cake.
  19. I agree about the so called Hog Roast. it looked great but for ?4.50 what you got was mostly salad stuff and a few bits of the meat. Bit of a rip off I am afraid. The fire engine was a great attraction for the kids. There maybe needs to be more to attract other types of stalls. For example the Cheese Block would do well there if they had a stall. But maybe as well as dogs and kids and food and a few running things, there could be more for adults to do too. A sort of grown up sports day? Even get someone to organise a small area of the park for a motorcycle rally. Just have lots of variety of things. But really, it was fun and also nice to see neighbours and talk with them one doesn't often have the time to do!
  20. Dishwashers apparently save energy: they only use the right amount of water and so if you fill up the dishwasher each time before use, even taking into account the energy used, you'll save something, money or energy, water definitely. However, no room in our flat for a dishwasher and we couldn't afford one anyway. Washing machines probably the same theory - better than washing each and every item separately. I remember reading that if you go in to a room which has say a strip light and turn it on each time you go in, during a day, you would save energy by keeping it on because the energy it uses being turned on each time is more than if you had left it on. But that may be bollo&s. Do Macs use energy more efficiently than PCs? Then the world should demand the desctruction of all PCs! I have a brick in the toilet cistern so it uses less water when flushing; can't afford a new modern cistern. Doing me best but sometimes I look out at the view of London and all the lights especially in the taller buildings, and think - I can't do this all alone, corporate social responsibility and all that. Piccadilly at night anyone? Pahhh
  21. Well to say farewell to Summer we are going to Mount Ephraim Gardens Sunday 13th for Apple Sunday. All sounds lovely.
