  1. We have a garden building which needs to be completed asap. We are looking for someone to put up a stud wall, create an en suite with associated electrics and plumbing(although it does already have water and power, connect to underfloor heating system already installed. Put down floor, tile and create some sort of kitchen space in a corner. If you can help, or recommend someone who is available now and handy, please PM me. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the responses. Actually, they both died intestate, his cousin before him. I am dealing with my Father's estate (or going through the process to be able to) but didn't know whether this affected the Tax form I am completing. Sums are small so didn't want to have to pay lots of fees but it might be advisable under the circumstances.
  3. I am dealing with the probate of my Father who very recently died, but was due to inherit from his first cousin who had no children of her own. There was no surviving spouse, are no surviving aunts or uncles, hence my Father's share. He was due to inherit along with 3 other cousins, so, what happens to my Fathers share? Does it come to his estate (and should I wait to settle it?) or, is it divided between surviving cousins? Insight gratefully received - thank you.
  4. Hi all, Have been a bit off the radar (only made one meet up so far!) but finished work yesterday and relieved. Hopefully a bit of time before Freya's little brother arrives - lots to do... Would be glad to meet up also with mum's of two - just seen that post so I'll keep an eye out - always happy to do a picnic tea on the rye if weather is nice?? Not sure I can make 7th but hope to catch up soon. Congratulations to those whose little ones have already arrived! Gosh, it makes it all very real. P.s. Any ideas for double buggys? We bought a city mini to use in our nannyshare but seats are deep and older babies spend a lot of time reaching forward to see out. Since they'll only be 13-14 months apart, I wanted something that F could lie back nicely in??? Obvious choice would be a Phil and Ted's, particularly for space, but have mixed feelings about rear view?
  5. Am trying to find somewhere to see the Easywalker Duo plus pushchair. Any ideas?
  6. Hi All, Am expecting a second baby in August so my little ones will be 14 months apart! We're looking at side by side pushchairs rather than tandems and wondered which to go for. Want to get around and through doors easily, especially in an already packed ED. Have looked into Mounain Buggy Duo and Duet and am considering Easy Walker Duo. Any thoughts gratefully received. Many thanks.
  7. A surprise given that my little one is only 9 months at the mo!! Over the initial shock and looking forward to an August baby (due 5th). Did NCT first time around - we're all back to work soon (yes, even me - just for a few months) but will be glad to meet new mums and mum's of two especially. Perhaps we can arrange coffee?
  8. We have explored nannytax to sort our payroll and contract for our nanny share but wondered if there are any cheaper/better alternatives.
  9. Thanks to both - helpful advice so for now we'll stay on only breast and see how we go!
  10. Can anyone give some advice on whether it's fine to give my baby some baby rice at 19 weeks? A 'good' night is usually waking once or twice for a feed although recently, she did manage a few nights in a row going all through from 10-7am but for the last 2 weeks has reverted back to almost newborn feeding habits, waking at least every 2 hours to feed. She often falls asleep during a feed so perhaps isn't taking enough at night but is gaining weight!! (She's nearly a stone!). Thought I could offer some rice mixed with breast milk at 5pm after breastfeeding? I'm aware this is before recommended 6 months - does this matter much? (Guess HV would say 'yes'!) Gina Ford says after 11am feed then introduce 5pm after a few days?? I'd be grateful for any advice.
  11. Yes, I think that's good advice - thanks all for the posts and fingers crossed!.
