Are there any social groups for adults with autism in this area? And if not, would anyone be interested in setting one up?

Another recommendation for Greg. Excellent communication, swift response, reasonable price and a good job well done. Couldn't ask for anything more.

We once had PD James sitting at the table next to us at The Secret Garden in Walworth. Had a lovely garden to eat out in, too. Loved that place. -

Unless academic standards have slipped in the past half century since I obtained a Cambridge Law degree, I doubt that Cambridge awards such degrees to simpletons. This sentence makes no sense. -

Dog on One Tree Hill -- mystery solved

We couldn't find him when we went back, but he was there again this morning. He didn't look as if he had been sleeping out for two nights, though. As I was discussing what to do about him with other walkers, someone from one of the houses that back on to One Tree Hill called, and he promptly ran off through the trees and disappeared through the fence. Seems as if he lives there and just pops out to play or to warn other dogs off his patch. -
There is a collarless black and white whippet-type dog at the top of One Tree Hill. (Friday, 11.30am-ish) He is definitely on his own and seems quite frightened. I couldn't really get near him, but will try going back later without my own dog and with a collar and lead to try and catch him if he is still there.

False alarm. He's back. [Our cat, Max, has uncharacteristically missed his last couple of mealtimes. He is an independent sort of cat, and may just be roaming, but I'm worried that he has got himself locked in somewhere. He is pure black, neutered and microchipped. We live near the top of Forest Hill Road, so if people in the vicinity could keep an eye out for him, we should be most grateful.]

I have just tidied up my tupperware cupboard and have been left with a pile of bottoms and lids that don't match up. Has anyone organised an exchange where people could bring their mismatched plastic and swap them for ones that fit?

replacing street trees

Is there any possibility that we could campaign for productive replacement trees -- nut or fruit trees? -
I used to ride at Mottingham Farm. Quite tatty, but the horses are very well cared for. Not sure about loaning horses. You'd need to chat to the manager, Yvonne.

What are you suggesting? That nothing should be published for fear of someone "getting ideas". Bizarre. Let's get rid of the news then, shall we? And this forum. Especially this forum.

Police often hold back one or two bits of detail, just so they can detect copycats. Do you not watch any cop shows on TV?

Probably too long ago and too far away, but I never heard if this cat was ever found: Lost Black Cat - Grove Park/Ivanhoe rd Posted by Brulysses 27 December, 2015 10:03 HI, Our big, black, male cat called Cosmo/Coz(no collar but chipped to Celia Hammond, Lewisham)went missing on the afternoon of the 23rd, he likes a wander but this is way out of character as he loves his food. He's a very friendly, talkative cat, a real character and we miss him terribly. If you've seen anything that might help please let me know on 07809640218 and if you have a garden shed or glasshouse, please have a check. Thank you, Bruce + Bronwen
