  1. We are in urgent need of someone to come and fix our dishwasher. At the end of the cycle it did not drain and now there is a tap symbol lit up on the display. My husband has disconnected the end of the outlet pipe and there doesn't seem to be a blockage so we think there is something wrong with the pump. Its a Neff dishwasher S54M45X5GB/82 Can anyone repair this for us asap? Thanks.

    West wickham

We have finally gone and done it - put our place on the market and looking at houses in west wickham. But can anyone shed much light on the area? I have looked through multiple posts on here, mumsnet /netmums, 'Lets Move To...' etc and can't find that much which I find surprising as it has: outstanding secondary and primary schools great transport links to London Bridge and charring cross (30 mins) a well served high street with m&s food and Cook close to M25 and quick jaunts down to Sussex and beyond 20 mins drive to the Horniman etc Close to Croydon so good bonus transport links. And all importantly, great value for money properties with big gardens (similar prices to catford) It's Bromley borough. Am I missing something? It looks too good to be true.
  3. Thanks for the recommendations!
  4. Ive had Eggs Royal on gluten free bread at Chandelier. Was good.
  5. Hello I run a small local design studio in Honor Oak and happily, demand is growing quickly for our products. I am looking for a graphic designer with good typography skills who can work off the design template Ive set up and hit the floor running. The file is set up in Illustrator CS. Please PM if you are interested in some freelance work so we can discuss further details. Kind regards Vici
  6. Hello Delivery men have just delivered our new tumble dryer. We thought they were fitting it but turns out they are not (long story). I now have tumble dryer plonked in middle of my small kitchen whilst trying to negotiate cooking for baby and toddler. Help! If you can fit today please get in touch. Many thanks Vici
  7. Does your business need A2 or A3 size postal tubes with cap ends? Diameter 38mm. Get in touch as I have 50qty of each size that I ordered by mistake! Vici
  8. We have had our living room painted and kitchen painted and tiled with Dave Franklin and are pleased with the work. He fitted us in at very short notice and was a very reasonable price. Will be using again and would recommend.
  9. I would also highly recommend Seema. Ive been getting my eyebrows threaded with her for a few years now and she is definitely the best in town! Have recommended her to friends who now all use her as she is so good and such a good price. She also comes to my house whenever I have my NCT buddies over (well its difficult to find the time to get beautified when you're a mum!) Very accommodating and friendly.
  10. He was friendly, efficient (got my bathroom taps fixed within 24hrs of me contacting him), plus he did another job he'd not initially planned to do for me. Really pleased with his service. Originally found him from this forum so just backing up other good comments about him previously. Marc - 07837 802521 Vici
  11. Hi I bought a book called Pirate Pete's Potty which my son really engaged with. He started saying things like he wanted to sit on the potty like pirate pete :) Before we went fully for potty training we left the potty around the house and he would sit in it fully clothed and also put his teddys on the potty. Then we started with just using it when he got up in the morning. Also, I used a potty and a toddler seat for the toilet so he could exercise a little choice. He likes to use both. Goodluck!
  12. Hi, I think that if over 300 people have read the thread then about that many are interested which is pretty good going so far! I am going to be talking to the ED warehouse as they have shown an interest in hosting the fair. Its certainly a brilliant space for it. Will let you know how I get on. Vici PS Will definitely require some help with this when it gets off the ground. Thanks for all the offers! x
  13. hi michelle, thanks for the follow will follow you back. x
  14. Good morning, Im going to contact a venue today about hosting the fair. Please can you follow me on twitter if you are still interested, as it would be interesting to see what cross section of the industry we can pull together from the local area. Thanks. Vici @octaviaplum
  15. It's great news that so many people are interested in doing a wedding fair. I think small intimate fairs are the best way to interact with your niche client. If anyone has any ideas about it then keep posting. Will get back to you all asap. Exciting!
  16. Yes, I think it would probably depend on how many local wedding businesses came forward as I guess its quite niche, but I definately think that East Dulwich has that vintage vibe about it and people wanting something a bit less 'high-streety'. Plus there's a lot of young couples that settle in east dulwich that might be heading down the aisle! There isn't any fair I know of in the SE area.
  17. Hello Just putting the feelers out and seeing if there are enough local/small businesses out there that want to target the wedding market with an emphasis on 'vintage' or 'alternative' (not too commercial). I am an online wedding stationer - www.octaviaplum.com - and I'll be doing a couple of small wedding fairs this year but there seems to be nothing south-east London based. If there were enough of us interested; vintage jewelry, dress collectors, cake makers, stylists, photographers etc. then might be a fun idea to start one. I know that East Dulwich and surrounding area is a hot bed of creatives and small business so if you're keen, then get in touch! Vici
  18. Yes I know this is a bit random, but basically I have, what I think (and others), a good idea centred around making things for the wedding industry. And I'm pretty confident that this service doesn't exist....yet! I am really keen to start my own business and would love to hear from other creative types who are also keen to do this. The main criteria is you have to be good at making things and love arts and crafts enough that you'd be happy doing it as a business. As a bit of bkgrd info, I am a graphic designer of 11ys experience and a 33yr old mum of one gorgeous 18mth boy. So, please DM me if you are genuinely interested in this sort of venture and have the time to do it. I'd love to hear from you.
  19. Actually just seen its the same one as posted by awilliams123, just different pattern!
  20. John Lewis - ?25 - its red fleece with white stars snuggle. It's great, thick and very warm and looks good too. Excellent value. I always get lots of nice comments about it.
  21. Hi, I had same problem with my son (now 8 months and happily taking his bottle). I was exclusively BF but at 3 weeks gave him a bottle of EBM and he was fine. I then made the mistake of stopping with a bottle of expressed a day as I wasn't getting on with the actual expressing! so continued just BF-ing, no bottles. Then at 5 months when I actually wanted him to take a bottle again he refused! I tried lots of different bottles but realised that what he missed was the comfort and intimacy of 'mummy time' so I tried to recreate this for him as much as possible. I sat him in a bouncer got really close to him and sang to him and let him hold my free hand or stroke my hair (like he usually did when BF-ing) and it worked a treat! Of course, he protested a bit for the first few sucks but when he realised how much attention he was getting he drank from the bottle really well. I only had to do this for the first few bottle feeds and then he was happy to take the bottle normally or even by other people. Might be worth a try! goodluck!
