  1. My kids are always asking about death and I just try and answer them honestly with as much detail as they ask for as they are not very sentimental at this age.

My brother died when I was young and my son is always asking my mum about him. I asked my mum if it upset her and she said it is nice because she would rather my brother was remembered and talked about than forgotten and not talked about.

My Dad also died an my son asks about him loads too. He refers to him as Jim. He died of emphacemia (not sure of spelling) as he smoked so much.

My eldest was asking me about being cremated and buried. I said if you are cremated you have your ashes scattered somewhere you loved.

In reply he said: 'Did Jim have his ashes put in the cigarette shop?"

  2. Thanks for all the help everyone. Unfortunately I still cannot decide and now people have mentioned androids and HTC HD phones. Oh God, I have no idea.

I really am an old fogey never mind a nerd or a geek.

I'll see what I can get a free upgrade to.

Like the idea of using the fitness apps on the iphone as they would be helpful for work I am sure.

    The search continues.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

  3. I got my son one for his 2nd birthday. Took him a little while to get the hang of it - even though he had seen loads of other kids on them - but after a few weeks or so he was off. Go for it!

Just make sure you can keep up with him when he is on it!

You could also get him to wear a cycle helmet when he is on it for extra safety. we did that.

  4. If you happen to see my bike lying around abandoned please let me know.

It got stolen from outside my house on Goodrich Road around 4.30/ 5am this morning. My husband heard someone this morning taking it (in his slumber thought it was me going off to work!). Only when he looked out the window did he see it being ridden down towards Barry Rd.

I know I was asking for it as it was locked outside the house - on our side of the wall - but it was not a fancy bike at all. I did not think it would be attractive to theives as it is a ladies frame and big and heavy. Plus it is rusty.

Anyway it is sort of purple and brown colour frame and is Barracuda brand.

It is a ladies frame and has a rack on the back.

It was my trusty work bike.

As I say, I know I was pretty much asking for it so I am in no way going to have a rant about bike thieves. Just thought I would take opportunity to post incase someone does happen to see it lying around. They went from our bit of Goodrich Road towards Barry Rd in the direction of Lordship Lane.

    Thanks.

I agree. Out of sight - out of mind!

If things really kick off distracting with a story often helps too.

Please don't say that. I just came on to give some general advice and also to say that getting started is often the hardest part. When you feel good afterwards it is really worth it. I hope I have not made you feel bad snowboarder.

  7. Molly, just once a week (or even every other week to begin with) and then you can do your other usual stuff twice. This means you are also getting some variety.

duchessofdulwich - you can take it at your own pace. I can honestly say you get all fitness levels. Some people did not do exercise before pregnancy even and some are mega fit and really push themselves. it really suits all levels. We also finish off with relaxation and pelvic floor.
