  1. Don't we already pay for brown bins in our council tax? Aren't we supposed to be encouraged to grow gardens to help the environment and a dying number of bees & other insects? On another note what happens when the leaves fall from the trees into our gardens, do we brush these back out onto the streets & clog up the drains because this is council responsibility?

A sticker? Not sure they have through that through, like the sticker couldn't be removed or the bin swapped "rolls eyes" On another note, our food waste also goes into the brown bin, what will happen to that?
  3. I'm sure Iceland are not the only retailer or food outlet to purchase the no bull burger. Still if retail price is ?1 each for a no bull burger + sainsburys bun it is possible to recreate for a fraction of the price.
  4. Bit overpriced for what it is, no bull burger ?2 for 2 in Iceland + Sainsubrys bun do the math
  5. I found a bike in the road on Cornflower Terrace this morning (older child's). If yours has gone missing can you give me the type, make, colour and any other specifics that may identify it as being yours.
  6. Found a ring this morning on Cornflower Terrace. If you think it's yours please pm me with description.
  7. Thank you for posting, same on Cornflower Terrace
  8. Hi, yes, we live on Cornflower Terrace just off Dunstans, we have virtually no water.
  9. I hope nothing has happened to him. He missed his appointment to quote at ours, had no call & no response to voicemail or email. Seems unusual with all the positive feedback there is on here
  10. Booked an appointment with Aqua-Build. I took time off work, had an email & text to advise me of my appointment on the day. No one turned up, I called the mobile & left a message. No one called me back or responded to my email. So they are out of the running. Any other recommendations would be appreciated.
  11. Have walk to school days. Also there's no reason to take the main roads anymore since the speed limit is 20mph borough wide & doesn't save any time.
  12. Work was completed Monday by vince, very speedy work. Find him on the forum.
  13. Happy to recommend Vince and Dai, had extremely heavy fence panels to move, they moved them through the house taking great care. Would use again. 07931 737773.
  14. Please PM me, the work is to move a delivery of fence panels from the front to back garden
  15. I don't see them getting caught no fingerprints or witnesses...main thing is there was no damage to the interior, you hear some horror stories It has certainly got us into gear about getting extra security. I would urge anyone with victorian sash windows to put in extra locks that doesn't allow leverage to push up & screw in the beading as nails come out easier.
  16. Break in on cornflower terrace this eve 15th Feb if anyone saw anything suspicious in or around please get in contact. They prized the downstairs sash window open which is by no means secluded with a crowbar. Stole a TV, tablet, ipad, passport, files & jewellery. What struck me as odd is they only rummaged through one drawer it seemed as if they knew what they were coming for & tried to make it look more. Anyhow the stupid idiots took the sky remote & left the tv remote doh...tablets & laptop have tracking so I'll be taking pictures of them as soon as they are switched on
  17. James on 07507 392666, did our 2nd bedroom ceiling and walls which cost ?300. Very pleased with the work.
  18. Thanks for all messages, work is on hold awaiting windows being fitted. No more numbers required at this time.
  19. Need skirting in bedroom removed and replaced with new. New board would need cutting to size, joined etc. suggestions please.
  20. Never had a problem with the gym, yes the machines get busy but usually drops off in March when the New Years resolutions come to nothing. The most infuriating thing is the lockers, not sure why people think they have the right to save themselves a locker. It is getting more difficult each day to find a free one. It's unnecessary & selfish. Myself & others have complained several times but nothing seems to change. Putting a sticker on the culprits lock just has no effect, there has to be consequence. They should put a sign on the wall saying they will cut the locks at the end of each evening & see it through. People would start to get the message.
  21. I've been going to the gym for 4 years since it was done up, always spottles & friendly staff, have never had any problems getting into classes...only when I have left it to the last minute. I've also been to most classes, find yoga & pilates etc quite good, they vary the routines unlike, body blast, body combat etc...they are still doing the same boring routine as when I joined 4 years ago, if they were to change up the routines every now & again I would have no complaints. I have given them some feedback via the website but have had no response.
  22. I can't recommend James Removals enough Their quote was reasonable, included disconnecting & reconnecting the washing machine, packaging artwork in europackaging, up to ?25k insurance. Boxes & packaging can be purchased but you can get a refund on the boxes if you wish to return them (they come & collect) The guys on the day were very efficient, helpful & seemed happy in their job.....probably all the tea & biscuits we kept forcing on them ;)
  23. Try Rachel 07971637094, she has a studio in Forest Hill & just done some fabulous work for me on some clothes I had frown inwardly of....Fit perfectly now!
  24. I think a Spanish or really good tapas restaurant would go down a treat, Barcelona is a little dated...
