  1. Having tried the Gina Book I would say personally it didn't work for us and I threw it. I wouldn't want to say do the same in case it does work for you. We just went cold turkey in the end and stayed in for a week ( hard I know but I have a baby too, so couldn't face going out and dealing with accidents. It worked, as he did have accidents but they got less and less. I stopped asking too and just let him work it out, soon I could tell as he was holding himself so could suggest a potty trip might be good. As for poos, we only had one 'present' but then he seemed to just get it. He didn't like having to stop what he was doing and still doesn't, sometimes holding on until the last moment.! I told him his bum is much cleaner now too and I think seeing his younger sisters poo bun helped. I would just say try to relax and I'm sure it will work out fine. We still use night pull ups at the mo, as he demands a drink just b4 sleeps. This I am working on next ! I like what snowboader says about poos as I know some kids don't like doing them, so I'm sure a fun story would help. Potty training in no fun, it is exhausting but now we have come out the other side, its sooo much better having him all grown up !
  2. Hi all just thought i'd start a thread as I have recently back moved here ( I grew up in dulwich then moved away,) and now that the kids sleep in the evenings i have some of my life back ! I would like go out for drinks maybe go to some kind of group weekly to get out and meet new peeps/ mums ? I am a freelance designer and have my own accessories brand, so found it hard to meet people when the kids were younger as I was always juggling eveything. Anyway just thought i'd post a thread and see if anyone local fancies a meet up. Kids free prefered as mine are soooo hectic ( one is 1 and turning into a toddler and the other is 3 and off on his scooter at the mo ) let me know if interested in drinks chat and meet up x oh and if anyone knows of any groups let me know ;-) thanks in advance
  3. Hi Everyone I just wanted to tell everyone about our local Chish and Fips ! Crofton Park, just round the corner from Honar Oak station and past CP high street. I know this site is for Ed, but its near enough. The Brockley Rock is cheaper than the Seacow, ( tho we love the Seacow - but times are hard !) and we have been having fish and chips on a friday for the last couple of weeks -take out( ok time are not that hard, ) I can highly recommend this place and thought we'd help out by recommending. Anyway see link below, if interested and in need of fish and chips ! http://www.brockleysrock.co.uk/
  4. Hi now this is the group that I need!its so hard meeting mums when you freelance as you can't go to groups regularly, or at least I can't. Though I freelance mon-wed so can't leave my studio then. If you were to meet on a thur or Friday then I'll be there! I have a nearly 3 yr old & 1 year old, which we juggle between daddy me & childminder
  5. We took our 4 month old & 2 year old to Greenwich observatory Top of the park, There's a newer bit opposite the cafe on the left, our boy loved running round & looking at the stars etc Cafe for coffee good too! Also at the bottom the actual museum is pretty good too Something to do tomorrow maybe as aparently raining again boo
  6. We're looking to book a chalet or static caravan in The next couple of months & was wondering if anyone had been to a great holiday park in Devon or Cornwall. There's sooo many online it's hard to know Oh and near a beach of course, we're not looking to just sit in the holiday park for 2 weeks. Suggestions welcome
  7. Eat ALL their Easter eggs ( if given them) Or buy some for 'little bubs' then eat them! Birthday cakes: One piece on the day ( carrot cake sort of healthy for my toddler ) Then the rest is demolished over a few days by me! 'don't want him having all that sugar' Ha ha 
