  1. BAKER, Rifleman, FREDERICK ALBERT, 16 years old. The same age as me - I would have been petrified.
  2. To save this thread being bogged down by technicalities, see this thread where I've posted the definitive legal stuff regarding cycling on pavements: Cycle Issues (Lounge)
  3. Just posting something on legality of riding on pavements (to stop another thread being bogged down). Ignore it if you are not interested. Riding on pavements The pertinent bit, re children, reads: "The DfT view, from discussions with Home Office, is that the law applies to all but the police can show discretion to younger children cycling on the pavement for whom cycling on the road would not be a safe option." The age of criminal responsibility is 10 so, technically, only children below this age can cycle on pavements without fear of redress. While adults are not allowed to cycle on 'footways' (see definition above), children up to the age of 16 cannot be prosecuted for doing so, see text above for clarification.
  4. Keef, how very remiss of you not to read the ED section regularly. How can you appreciate the 'Murali - Goodrich Road' thread unless you had seen the original one over there? Now you have no excuse not to contribute to Ted Max's excellent thread.
  5. Just remember not to sit down, eh?

I know Admin's omnipotent, keef, but that's stretching it a bit far.
  7. Am loving scents at the moment. The showy magnolia, the cow parsley so redolent of the countryside and the sweetest, most delicate smell of the hawthorn.
