  1. (posting on behalf of Helio) Hi My name is Helio and I'm an experienced chef (8 years in the trade). I am currently available for part-time and ad-hoc work. Flexible and available daytime, evenings or weekends. Please PM me for contact details.
  2. Penguin68 - do you know which agency/website your friends use? We haven't had any bookings from the website we're registered with.
  3. Tomorrow night! Following GREAT feedback on our first networking event, we are back tomorrow! Tickets still available. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wine-unwind-tickets-35406769601
  4. This is the first of what we hope to be a fun and useful (both for networking and unwinding!) event for locals. Space is limited so book early. Very excited for our first Wine & Unwind evening! Link to tickets: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wine-unwind-tickets-34639268986
  5. I am looking for a recommendation for a good value, good service printing service. I am looking at relatively low volume repeat/regular printing of colour documents. Thanks
  6. I've seen on Twitter that there is to be a new independent caf?, Kanella and Co opening in ED. Anyone know which site its going to be on?
  7. Have you tried either SMBS or Health Matters on Lordship Lane?
  8. I echo Sue's point. Depends what you are looking for but they are all well stocked.
  9. Looking for somewhere new to have lunch today with the family (young kids) and wondered what the Lordship is like for food? Any comments? We usually go to The Dulwich Woodhouse or Si Mangia
  10. I live on Overhill Road and wouldn't want it closed for a through route, albeit that cars do go too fast down the hill. I would like to see the road re-surfaced as it seems to miss out whilst other roads are being re-surfaced. As a busy road, it could do with some TLC. As for bikes being allowed to go down the one-way, I think this is a fair suggestion.
  11. Hi Does anyone know of any local or London based groups for Taiwanese people in the UK or people with connections to Taiwan? Thank you for your help
  12. This is a great addition to the road and the area. Sirin And her mum who own the salon/ clinic are lovely and their work is great. I've followed Sirin there from her previous salon. I can highly recommend the laser hair removal and nails personally.
  13. Can someone recommend a weekly tennis club for a 5 yr old please? Preferably on a Saturday morning. Thank you
  14. I really like this pub. Such a lovely, genuine pub interior and friendly staff. I hope it's making money as I wouldn't want it to go yet it's so quiet. Enjoying a quiet Sunday lunchtime drink Happy Easter!
  15. Morning I'm looking for a recommendation for a jewellers that offers a stretching service for rings. Thanks
  16. Can anyone recommend someone who hires themselves out for house parties to make cocktails/ drinks? It's short notice for tomorrow evening! Thanks!!!
  17. What about the site (which has been closed since before I moved to ED 7 yrs ago ) between William Rose and the Irish Shop. I always wonder why that site isn't used? I love Pretty's and the cafe next door. Its crazy that landlords don't recognise the value of a successful, established retail business, especially when retail is generally in decline! Being obsessed with money and increasing rent will just lead to a further decline in the high street.
  18. Does anyone know why there was a police blockade on Melbourne Grove this morning? Thanks
  19. Hi All in need of a plumber I would like to recommend Niko (07818 607583). He has yet again solved our plumbing issue (bizarre pressure anomalie on a basin tap) quickly, with no fuss and at a reasonable charge. Although he is very busy, he always manages to provide great service Thanks Niko!
  20. We've used Pete for both the installation of our boiler (About 3 years ago) and the annual service and have always found the service efficient and friendly
  21. I would like to add my recommendation for Niko (07818607583). As well as replacing our bath (and disposing of the very heavy cast iron one), he fixed a couple of small plumbing issues which we'd had since (someone else) put in the bathroon 3 years ago and which I thought I would have to live with forever! Also correctly assessed the issue with our tempremental shower and put in the correct pump so we now have a normal/fabulous shower! Thanks Niko. A very friendly, experienced and hard-working plumber. Stephanie

  24. Hi All I am an ED working mum with two young children. As with most mum's, I want, more than anything, to be able to do all the fun things with my little ones, to do pick up and drop off when they reach school age AND to have a fantastic income and lifestyle! I've found the answer to this and I want to share it with other like-minded people (men and women). If you are wondering what this is, the answer is that I have simply learned how to turn an everyday expense into an income and I teach others to do the same. It's internet-based (no commuting), flexible (fits around my busy life) and anyone who wants to can learn to do the same. If you are reading this and are open to hearing about an opportunity which can, over time, give you more time, more money or whatever it is you want, what I do may be an option for you. Whether it is or not is ok so if you have 45 minutes and would like to hear more so you can decide whether it may be a fit for you, I will be presenting the opportunity over coffee at 11am this Wednesday, 11th September at the Duck Egg caf? on Northcross Road in ED. Please PM me your RSVP so I can know numbers for seating and if you can't make but would like to meet for coffee, let me know. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to meeting some of you on Wednesday. Stephanie
