  1. I'd have to agree with the couple of people here who have suggested it'd be more worthwhile to improve PeckhamPlex first and to offer support to places in ED currently doing small scale film screenings. It's nice to think about ED having its own cinema but I really think PeckhamPlex has a lot of potential if it's scrubbed up a bit and given a more appealing frontage/outer public area.
  2. I think the most recent flier we got from the new/recent Papa John's in ED had a blurb on it saying they're looking for staff.
  3. Even if the P12 was more reliable, there's still the matter of cost. Since Boris loves pushing up bus fares so much, taking a P12 + 63 would make a round-trip journey cost an extra ?2.70 per day, which would add up to an extra ?13.50 per week, and so on. Give it another four years with Boris (ugh) and it'll just keep going up and up and up. Good transit systems connect at hubs. The 63's failure to make it within a reasonable (i.e., 5 min) walk of HOP station is not good transport planning. dbboy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What is wrong with walking and/or using the P12
  4. On the contrary, our blue bins were emptied so thoroughly today that even the bins themselves are gone now. Well done, recycling team. I so look forward to getting to call the council to request new bins and having nowhere to put my recycling in the meantime.
  5. I took this test officially earlier this year, scored 23/24 at the time, and redid it now with a fail of 18/24. Sshh, don't tell the Home Office! There are a HUGE number of other test questions available (they're randomly generated when you do the exam), with some of them even stupider than those listed here (eg, "Which statement is correct? A) The Queen is the heir to the throne B,) Prince Charles is the heir to the throne" and my personal favourite, "True or false: in the UK it is illegal to discriminate against women at work because of their sex"). If they're going to keep this test it really needs a massive rewrite...
  6. There was a guy doing a survey on my 63 bus home from work yesterday, asking people about the type of transit pass used, place of purchase/top up, and their journey endpoint. An extension of the 63 route would be welcome, but given how many 63s terminate at Peckham Rye instead of bothering to do the entire existing route, I can't see it happening anytime soon :(
  7. I found a small wallet and keys on my way home from work tonight, looks like it was dropped at The Gardens bus stop (southbound). It belongs to a Ms Mary T-----, originally from Michigan. If you know her or are her, please PM me so I can return her wallet and keys to her!
