hi there, they have baby stomach ease tea in the health matters shop on lordship lane. My DD had it when she suffered from colic and trapped winds and it really worked a treat. I was just wondering if anybody had the same experience with herbal teas?

The english language is not very 'specific' comparing to other languages and you might be able to discuss a certain topic in an other language much better. My question would be: Why is there not more focus on foreign languages in english schools? I would suggest to start at nursery. -
Hi there, yes I meant 'normally' in the meaning of: a healthy baby with normal weight will wake up when it is hungry. sorry for causing confusion :-)

Get yourself also a box of neuners baby stomach ease tea from health matters. It will calm your baby's tummy and support her digestion. :)

I love our cameleon..so light you can push it with only one hand. I would recommend this pushchair to everybody. -
I was told 6 hours or when the boobs start to hurt ;-)..but I was breastfeeding and normally breastfeed babies do not sleep that long anyway in the first weeks. But I am with your daughter, they normally wake up when they are hungry.

Surreptitiously hiding calpol in milk
caroline_green replied to Lochie's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi, have you considered not giving him Calpol at all? It contains a list of E numbers and is therefore banned in countries like France or Sweden. Before consider using it you may would like to read this article Behind the label - Calpol Why not ask you GP for an alternative and a good old cup of warm herbal tea. (thyme tea is very beneficial for colds) -
Did you use a swing to help your newborn nap?
caroline_green replied to Sanne Panne's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Tried it, but my LO did not like it at all and she started to cry. So I carried her most of the time wrapped around in a scarf. -

it was indeed a great afternoon!! Thanks to everyone.. -
I had the same issue with my DD when she started weaning and she was also EBF. You can help your baby by giving her some baby stomach ease tea, or you drink it yourself and pass the effect on through your milk. She will simply digest better. Its a herbal tea especially for babies. It really was our life saver. I think healthmatters health store stocks it. good luck!

2 questions - b/f weaning and NAPS!
caroline_green replied to snowboarder's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi there, I know what you are going through. My DD (19 months) does not want to even go near cow milk and I felt not good about it first but since I know more about it is not an issue anymore.A lot of cultures do not drink milk at all, i. e. Japan and their society is one of the healthiest in the world. So there are plenty of other ways to make sure your baby gets enough calcium. Try yogurt or cheese it is a great source. Also broccoli, spinach and peas have plenty of it. Good luck and do not worry too much! In releation to your second question..the amount of sleep needed by babies does vary a lot and changes all the time. Growth spurts and other things can influence it. Again, do not stress yourself too much and try to let him sleep when he wants to and not force anything.
