Hi Emily, Assuming that you and your partner are in a long term relationship I would think joint tenants would be a better option. You could have your solicitor draw up a declaration of trust stating what amount you put in to the deposit etc and keep individual bank accounts so there is a easy paper trail of who paid what towards the mortgage in the event of a split. Going down the tenants in common route you are going to have to be specific with the land registry of each of your percentage of ownership. Looks like that will vary over time as you would have the larger holding at the start but then in future your partner would be gaining equity by paying the mortgage. https://www.which.co.uk/money/mortgages-and-property/first-time-buyers/buying-a-home/tenants-in-common-vs-joint-tenancy-amlkh0x4ct97

Burglars casing Woodwarde and Dovercourt roads
emu replied to DovertheRoad's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hmmm interesting, about 7ish I had a young woman ring the doorbell and ask for sponsorship for a walk raising money for cancer research. I politely said no but a few minutes later I looked outside and did notice the black bmw going by slowly and thought she might have been in it. -
Call Southwark noise team on 020 7525 5777

14 car tyres have been dumped on Dovercourt pavement near Woodwarde Intersection. I have logged it with Southwark.

Anyone missing a "tar" delivery for their drive?
emu replied to spark67's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
That looks like Tar used for a flat roof, so best off looking for someone that's got some roofing work happening. Drive Ways are usually done with a hot mix which is delivered with the tar and chippings already combined. Good luck -

I just noticed the photo attached on the first post showing the coach and reg no. So I did a search and the vehicle as I thought is non compliant for the low emission zone. So aside from the southwark parking issue the owner can only operate this vehicle in the zone by paying a 200 per day charge or cop a fine of 1000 from TFL. So report it to [email protected] or 0343 222 1111 or speak to the owners and they might choose wisely to move it outside the LEZ asap they may have already copped a fine bringing it into London unless they were clever enough to find a route not covered by LEZ anpr cameras, good luck

Worth contacting TFL on this one as a couple of issues come to mind. I am not so familiar with passenger vehicle rules but as an operator of an HGV in residential areas the maximum period for parking is normally 2 hrs. This vehicle is also most likely to be in breach of TFLs low emission zone rules as I am guessing it is older than 08 and if originally owned by a operator outside London its unlikely to be modified to be compliant. There is a hefty fine for operating a non compliant vehicle in the LEZ so worth contacting TFL if having no joy with Southwark.
