  1. Definitely take a birth certificate and letter from dad My daughter has a different surname from me, and an Irish passport (I travel on a UK passport). We got quizzed for 20 mins in Oslo, despite having birth certificate/letter of consent to travel and photocopy of my husbands passport to prove the letter was from him! Was so relieved I had them - I honestly don't think they would have let me in Without all of it!
  2. I had horrid mood disturbance on microgynon, was a bit worried about mirena but have been fine from a mood point of view. Was hoping it would also sort out my very heavy periods, if I'm honest I'm not sure it's done much. I still bleed very heavily for 2 days unfortunately. Not everyone is lucky enough to have no periods sadly!
  3. I'm looking for someone to remove the existing tiling from my bathroom and re-tile around the bath. But I'm really struggling to find a good tiler who can fit us in - just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for people they've used? Thanks!
  4. Also following this... Any other recommendations - unfortunately Amanda Roberts isn't available for my wedding. :(
  5. Have just moved with Bridges - They did the packing and the removals. Totally stress free, cheaper than the other quotes we got as well. Would totally recommend them. Nothing was broken, despite having to move into storage and then back out again!
  6. i think the bus stop is only closed overnight - buses were stopping there this morning...
  7. Well whatever they are doing its pretty loud! (still no letter but can hear it through the double glazing)
  8. I've still not received any notification about any of these works despite living on St Aidans Road. Great communication.
  9. Zeret kitchen is fab! Ethiopean food, and the owner is lovely, and will explain what everything is and how it should (traditionally) be eaten without making you feel stupid. Its on Walworth road, just next to a number 12 bus stop (can't remember which one, I think it's the first one after camberwell green)
  10. Good luck! I have a place too, and am slightly worried about what I have taken on. If anyone fancies doing some long weekend runs together let me know - I'm slow (recent half marathon in 2hr10). I'm also thinking about joining a local running club to keep me motivated, so if anyone has any recommendations or will act as a friendly face to get me started in a new group then please drop me a line. Thanks!
  11. just to add another recommendation - having tried to unblock my drain, causing an under-sink leak when i tried to put everything back together i was rescued by Daniel and Chris. Not only did they sort out the problem they were called about, but they sorted out a couple of other little niggling problems with the pipework. And all at an hours notice!
  12. like others have said - it depends on how quiet you like things to be! I'm in one of the white maisonettes at the Herne end. You can hear the noise from the kids in the garden when the weather is good, but i've never had trouble with late night noise. The main (minor) irritant is all of the cars parked up the road on a Sunday (they do a pretty popular sunday lunch), but it's not a major problem. And feel free to send a PM if you fancy any more info/a drink when you move!
  13. that's interesting - I've had a couple of really nasty bites in the last couple of weeks - much worse than usual mossie bites. I've been wondering what the beastie is...
  14. just walked down from honor oak park st to the herne - the shops are closing (even looked like the co-op was shutting up shop!) but no sign of trouble yet. fingers crossed...
