    And herein lies the problem.

H&S nonsense became rampant under Labour. Whatever happened to the adage of 'can't do the time, don't do the crime'.

Apparently they can't use any of the legitimate dirt tracks in the South East and want one on their door step. Twunts. It's risible that they think that having had their social media exploits backfire so badly (its simple to work out who they are now) that they're trying to turn this round with "an imminent press release".

That's what we get for having Labour in power for 13 years.

Excellent live Jazz at the Great Exhibition last Sunday.

    That makes three.......

  6. Hi James,

I have tried, without success, to get some flattened cardboard boxes collected by Southwark. The agreed dates come and go (as per usual) but when I called to chase again this time, I was told that they would need to open a complaint, investigate the complaint and only then, would they reschedule a collection.

These boxes have been out by the bins for weeks now, are rain sodden and regularly get blown down the path and I have to clean them up.

Could you get something done for me about this ridiculous situation? I'm used to it taking several attempts to get rubbish picked up but this is just crazy!

Sorry but I'm calling BS on this post. Sounds like you were the one expecting him to be at your beck and call, and can't understand that his life and schedule don't revolve around you.

Colin was round on Saturday morning for me, was super flexible time wise and got all the jobs done in no time at all.

So another thumbs up for Colin. I'll definitely be using him again in the near future and can't recommend him highly enough. 99% positive reviews can't be wrong......

I've had problems getting an appointment for the same month at Forest Hill Road!

Never short of entertainment there though. The last time I was there, someone collapsed in the waiting area and they refused to call an ambulance. Incredible.

  9. Hi James,

Is there anything to done about cars being parked up advertising "cash for scrap"? They seem to deliberately park them on or near junctions. There is one in particular on Sydenham Hill, junction of Sydenham Rise that, whilst legally parked, causes a bottleneck in the mornings and has clearly been hit several times despite being there for only a fortnight. It now has flat tyres and dented panels. Clearly the owners of these cars have no intention of ever moving them, regardless of how damaged they get.

Is it even legal to advertise in this fashion?

  10. There's no point in being loyal these days. The providers really don't care like they used to, much like the insurance markets. They know that the attrition rates balance out so there isn't a financial reason to try and keep you.

TBH I don't think there's a decent provider out there. I had Vodafone for two years and their coverage was dire. I switched to 3 and bought myself out of the contract as I had no reception anywhere. EE (Orange as was) had decent reception where I lived so I stuck with them but they are bloody awful to deal with. I work a little with comms companies and it's a hateful industry.
