  15. we renew ours to start on the very same day that it expires. That means that if it expires on the 8th, we renew it to start on the 8th. We have been stung so many times before, so this is how we avoid it. It's a scam, contest it all the way,

  18. This happened to us at a different supermarket. They refused to look at cctv based on data protection. I'd be interested to know if you succeed
  19. I make masks and did consider clear panel for the deaf, however the fogging up and hygiene issues were an issue so I didn't pursue it. It is a problem though. The clear plastic ones that are not enclosed are not effective against cover, they are more for aesthetics. a plastic enclosed mask would not enable you to breathe....its an issue in the deaf community that I don't think can be resolved very easily.
  20. That's true, which is why they should both be called rather than just the police as the police wont know how to deal with him. Both need each others support.

Please be clear when you call 999 ask for an ambulance, not the police. The man needs a medical assessment for medication to stabilise him. Psychiatrists ate in a better position to determine what's best for him and society. If that means keeping him in a psychiatric unit to keep others safe, that's their remit.
  22. Havnt had time to go I would say if you see someone who is a threat to themselves or others and is clearly mentally ill the best thing to do is to call the ambulance who will administer medication. There is little or no support for the mentally ill. All too often they end up incarcerated for their behaviour rather than medicated for it. It is comforting to see see that some of you recognise mental illness, the issue is what do we do about it when we see it. And no the answer isn't to beat the mentally ill. Nor is it to condone police brutality. The mentally ill are already underserved. God help you if you become mentally ill. It's the most misunderstood illbess in society and the most overt represented in prisons.
