From what I understand the games the FA cancelled in the higher leagues were because a few of the players and a manager tested positive for the virus and therefore all the affected teams were put in isolation. Also they wanted to keep the emergency services which usually attend big matches i.e. police and medical to be freed up to help with the coronavirus situation.

Can anyone tell me if the council actually post the permits out to residents or do the wardens just check the number plate to see if you have paid? I bought a permit on 1st Jan online but have not received anything in the post.

Saied has just been to mend my shed and searched a lot of timber yards to get the right size wood. He replaced 8 planks of rotten wood and hopefully my shed will now last another 20 years. I recommend Saied for all your gardening needs

Seconded for Andyman Services - 2nd time of using Andy - fitting a wall safe, came after hours today as he is going on holidsy tomorrow. Don't expect any response from Andy til 2nd June!

I was on the first 40 bus not to be allowed down the hill to Denmark Hill station at 8.15. The driver had no idea he was on diversion til I pointed out the bollards they had put down blocking the road and he contacted the depot. None of the bus stops on the way down to DH station had any bus stop closed signed on them. I told anyone waiting that there were no buses. Great time to start resurfacing during a Monday morning rush hour when train strike is on!

Thanks all. Bleeping has now stopped so hopefully it has eventually died!

So alarm in the lounge was bleeping so I duly changed the battery (it is electric and battery). Still it kept bleeping intermittently. Went on the internet and the advice was to turn off the electricity with the battery out and then turn on electric and put battery back in. Did that 3 times. It seems alarm is past it's best so have ordered a new one online. Until the replacement one arrives, how can I stop the old one bleeping. Have removed alarm with battery and electric connection. Help! Noise is driving me slowly mad!

Went through London Bridge today. New concourse is amazing. Go down escalators from platform 15 to reach the other platforms. Just a shame there are few trains from ED to London Bridge now
