  1. Yes, I saw it - I don't thing "Heritage" Builder or whatever his name was will get any more business - it was a bodge job from beginning to end. Felt really sorry for the home owner. I am guessing the council will recommend the demolition of the extention and start again. The Polish guy was well and truely shafted by that couple in Slough - no doubt they are shame faced this morning after watching the programme. Hope that builder gets lots more work now.

    a joke

A woman was in a coma. She had been in it for months. Nurses were in her room giving her a bed bath. one of them was washing her private area and noticed that there was a slight response on the monitor whenever she touched her there. They tried it again and sure enough, there was definite movement. They went to her husband and explained what happened, telling him, 'As crazy as this sounds, maybe a little '0ral sex' will do the trick & bring her out of the coma.' The husband was sceptical, but they assured him that they would close the curtains for privacy. The husband finally agreed and went into his wife's room. After a few minutes the woman's monitor flat lined, no pulse, no heart rate. The nurses run back into the room. 'What happened!?' they cried. The husband said, 'I'm not sure; maybe she choked.' NEVER ASSUME THAT MEN UNDERSTAND.
  11. I only used Sainsbury's once - 10 replacements sent for items I had requested - for tissue I got nappy wipes! Have used Ocado a couple of times and they were 100 times better.

  14. Carling Cup fourth round draw: Sunderland v Blackburn Rovers Arsenal v Wigan Athletic Chelsea v Burnley Swansea City v Watford Manchester United v Queens Park Rangers Stoke City v Rotherham United Brighton & Hove Albion or Derby v Leeds United Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool - should be interesting return for Robbie Keane!

  19. BBC reports Sheffield Utd are due ?30m compensation from the Hammers over the "Tevez" affair. That will please Simon at least! Hope that doesn't buoy them up too much before the game against the Gunners tonight.
  20. According to Arsenal website he only has bruising - nothing broken

  23. Very relieved! But from the way the commentator was talking it was like the end of the world if Arsenal didn't at least get a draw! At least we managed a point away which I think is more important than one point at home!
  24. The papers are predicting 40,000 job losses following the merger so I am sure it is a big deal to quite a lot of people.
