  1. Can def recommend Baby Sensory (between Honour Oak and Forest Hill) Chee is a lovely lady and the babies seemed to really enjoy it and flourish. Prob best from 5 months. Have fun!
  2. This starry eyed 'tune' (the first 3 words) just stay in your head ---- gets annoying after 3 weekends running! Prefer the chilled out version I must say.... Does anyone else suffer from ' I'm on my way to work today.....' (Me Too) on some mornings..... try getting it out of your head, is impossible!
  3. Hi, my little girl suffered from very itchy (excema) sore cheeks. Doctor prescribed cortisone cream, which helped temporarily. BUT I cut out cows' milk and this solved the problem overnight!!! We switched to goats' milk / yoghurt which she has no problem with. Likes the taste and it does not affect her at all!! No more excema! May I suggest you cut cows milk out of your diet as you are still breastfeeding and see if this helps? Or even switch to goats milk formula? Good luck!
  4. Hi everyone, Can you help us? We are looking around for a mid-range July holiday - the first with our toddler. Can anyone recommend a small / friendly resort / complex / hotel kind of place near to /on the beach, which also has a pool & is child friendly in Normandy or Brittany? We do not fancy camping but need a little comfort and also some (on site) restaurants nearby. We are open to your suggestions and especially your recommendations - as we are struggling to find our first perfect holiday. Many thanks, any help much appreciated!
  5. Hi, My mother in law (55)is currently staying with us due to seperation with dad in law. I think it would be nice for her to meet some new people, in maybe the same situation to meet up for a coffee or chat. Can anyone recommend any friendly and informal (women) chat groups in ED area? Or suggest what she could do during her (indefinite) stay here to help her and move on? Thanks a lot!
  6. cherry tree bit grubby and shabby. V small outdoor area. Not my choice. Kids seemed ok though and happy!
  7. THANK YOU, great advice - will be trying this from tomorrow onwards. Will let you know how I get on! K
  8. My very active and strong little DD of 9 months old just HATES being changed. This has occured since 8 weeks or so. She cries as soon as she even sees the changing table (in her nursey) to be laid down. I have tried padding it more, tried distractions of all sorts but it's just proving very difficult and can't bare the thought of what she's going to be like at 18 months and beyond. She wriggels, cries, now kicks me and turns over EVERY time. I am however becoming an expert at changinging her standing up.... In case you are wondering, I cannot remember dropping her head and she def did not fall off at any point - so not sure what has caused it. Please advise if you have experienced similar bad associations / habits and any advice on how to change this experience for her would be greatly appreciated. It's really upsetting me (and her obviously). Thanks
  9. We walked past the newly (and long awaited!) opened E.D. pool today. Swanky reception and creche but to my HUGE disappointment there was no baby pool in sight. What a missed opportunity with all these mums and babes in E.D.! I could just not believe it. When I mentioned it at the reception the manager sort of huffed and tried to tempt me in going to one of the 3 hours (only!) reserved for jelly babies. No extra heating (adult pool average temp is 18 degrees i think - far too cold for little ones), no family changing rooms or buggy park. But enough space in the reception area to hold a ballroom dance! According to the manager it was the architect's fault, which says to me that the council clearly does not talk to residents and what they would actually like to see happen with this amazing, but now missed opportunity. I am sad....
  10. Hi RJ, I would love to join you - if yo are still looking for someone. Please could you let me know so I can arrange a babysitter? Thanks a lot, Kate
