Thanks all for the congratulations. It's been a massive learning curve for us and really hard work but she is delightful. We also feel very lucky living in Dulwich and having so many brilliant baby services close by. Our baby is less than a week old and I have already been to see Clare Kedves re BF (which was very helpful) and had the home bra/nursing clothes-fitting from Pretty Pregnant. Our baby, a girl, was born at Kings on Saturday. She was nine days early, much to our surprise (so technically I suppose I am part of the Autumn Babies club?!). If she is up for braving the cold when you meet up next, we will pop along and say hello.

I took refresher lessons when I found out I was pregnant after a hiatus of 15+ years (instructor's name is Michael, he is recommended on the forum and works Saturday mornings). Now driving has become essential for me even though the baby hasn't been born yet. Just things like getting to sainsburys, NCT classes etc. Obviously do whatever feels right for you, but for me I knew that if I didn't get into driving now, I never would.

Hi, we're thinking of buying a video monitor. There are two Summer ones on the market: the secure sleep one and, what looks like a newer one, the baby zoom. The only difference I can make out from the mothercare brochure is that the former has a room temparature gauge. Is there one particular model that users would recommend?

I am up for this saturday too. Just been to Mothercare and suffering from pram-purchasing-indecision! Assume we are meeting at 10.30am at Le Chandelier but happy to go wherever.
