  1. Of course, but when a next day paid delivery takes 3 weeks to arrive, by that point those very same business are often having to reship items for customers and then chase Royal Mail for compensation, which costs them time and money too. My glasses broke recently so ordered new ones online with next day delivery, and they took a month to arrive during which i had to get through with glasses with one lens!
  2. "Royal Mail asks to stop Saturday letter deliveries"... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-63660320 This would be a blow, Saturday is quite often the day they seem to bulk deliver to us.
  3. We got 6 issues of a weekly magazine of our daughter's arrive today. The issues are dated early September through to mid/late October. They may be clearing the old stuff, but clearly newer stuff is backing up as they do, as the magazine is still 3 weeks behind. It's a cheek that they still call it a postal "service" tbh. As for packages, I've had to stop ordering anything from anyone who only uses Royal Mail. Packages don't turn up and are un-trackable – they're often not even marked as delivered when they finally are!
  4. Hi there I used to be on Three, i gave up on them around 2018. Whilst mobile calls were fine, mobile data was not, with many things simply not loading because of it. Either too many customers in the area, or not enough signal, i don't know. But no point paying for infinite data if nothing ever downloads. That was 4 years ago - what's Three like around here these days? Do people have any complaints about Three's voice and data coverage around East and West Dulwich, Denmark Hill areas? Rob
  5. Definitely not trolling, and if you want to comment, today's the deadline. https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/caseDetails.do?action=dispatch&keyVal=RH0E8AKB06900&caseType=BuildingControl "22/INC/01189 | Proposed internal alterations and fit out works to an existing retail unit to create a Poundland Store" "22/AP/2904 | New illuminated fascia signage above shopfront in existing signage zone" "22/AP/2903 | Replacement of shopfront and fascia sign"
  6. Bringing this back up the list just in case it was missed by the owner.
  7. Bringing this back up the list just in case it was missed by the owner.
  8. Found Thursday 4th of August. Message me if you think it's yours with a description so i can confirm. Rob
  9. I found someone's left AirPod Pro this morning on Crystal Palace Road (or possibly Heber Road). I can see using my iPhone the first name of the owner. If you've lost yours, message me with your name and i'll let you know if it's the one i've found. Rob
  10. My daughter found something by the basket swing around 5pm Saturday the 5th March. Private-message me to tell me what the lost item was and we can organise returning it. Rob
  11. We had 5 packages delivered yesterday, 3 from December (earliest being sent on the 7th), 2 sent in the last few days. Still 2 from December missing in action. Rob
  12. Yeah, much still to come. Whilst it looks like regular through the letter-box post has mostly caught up, I'm missing packages sent at the start of December, end of December and early January. Does anyone know if you can just go down to Peckham sorting office and ask for them to look? Or is the collection service just for recorded / sign-for things?
  13. We've had prescription medicines, reading glasses, Christmas gifts and more all have gone missing in the system since December. Problem is that if the businesses sending this stuff will only use Royal Mail, there's nothing you can do but shop elsewhere. Sadly we'll have to do that from now on as when you're talking about medicines and glasses, that's impacting things that are simply too important.
  14. He?s returned!
  15. It sounds more like something related to air-conditioning or water pipe related, the pitch changes just as it ends, almost like a valve is closing.
  16. There's been a high pitched whistling sound coming from somewhere inside the triangular block of roads near Goose Green; Lordship Lane / Crawthew Grove / Spurling Road. It's been going on and off, every few minutes, day and night for the last few months It's driving us crazy! Anyone in the surrounding properties know what it is / where it's coming from?
  17. As is https://xenforo.com
  18. Mobile friendly too please!
  19. We had Topsignalservice round too this week. Helpful, tidy, quick and good value. Excellent service, highly recommend. Rob
  20. Ah, he knocked on our house too yesterday. We are looking for a window cleaner but not right now, so just wanted a card. He didn't have one with him, said he'd pop back and drop one through the letter box later, but nothing's come since. Rob
  21. Sounds like there's a lot of it about locally then. This is the service I was already signed up to that alerted me... https://www.moneysupermarket.com/credit-monitor-web/ ...it's free so worth signing up for. It's updated once a month with general info, but if there's anything awry (like fraud detected) they'll alert you as soon as your credit file has it. It's worth checking the general info perioducally just to see if there's been any odd credit checks you don't recognise, as banks don't always detect the fraud on their own. In my case one did, one did not - I alerted them to it. If you do see something you don't expect, then this site will give you much more follow-up info... https://www.checkmyfile.com/ ...but it's paid (with one free month) but will help you get a clearer picture of what's gone wrong and who you need to get in contact with to sort it out. Rob
  22. Heads up that i had two credit card accounts fraudulently opened in my name recently. The accounts were opened using my home address. Both banks sent cards and pins through the post separately, but none of the four letters arrived here. We don't have an outside post box, so they couldn't have been stolen from there, they never came. So it seems they were intercepted somewhere along the way. I'm not going to jump to any assumptions where in the postal Royal Mail chain, but somewhere. I found out via a Money Supermarket's credit report alert thank god. One of the two banks had spotted the fraud and added a CIFAS tag to my credit report which triggered the alert. Otherwise I probably still wouldn't know. I contacted the other bank today to report the fraud to them also, that was the card being used still. The bank's agents suspect they got my personal details from the Companies House website. Highly recommend folk set up the Money Supermarket service (or similar), it's free (not sure they're all free!). This has prevented this getting completely out of hand. Just letting folk know - be careful!
  23. How have people been finding Virgin Media yesterday and today (Wednesday 5 Aug)? I've been having spotty access with it going up and down regularly. I'm at the Goose Green end of Lordship Lane. Nobody else here has said anything about having issues, so I'm not sure if it's VM or our own setup. Of course, the VM site says there's nothing wrong, but it practically always says that even when it's clearly down.
  24. @sue > Complaints on here always seem to be about Virgin! > I am genuinely bemused as to why people stay with them. On our road, we have no choice but Virgin fibre or dial-up (unless we go satellite which is just daft just to get an internet connection). Virgin owns the fibre on our road, and nobody else has put any down, so we suck it up, or go back to the days of watching images visibly downloading. Rob
  25. Yup, big outages... https://downdetector.co.uk/status/virgin-media/ https://downdetector.co.uk/status/virgin-media/map/
