  1. I'm in exactly the same situation as all of you who have not received post over the past 3-4 weeks. I have received two Christmas cards by post and I know of many friends and family who have sent cards. I'm in my 70s and it means a lot to me to be able to keep in touch - especially at this time of year. It seems impossible to send a text or an email to Peckham sorting office. Thought I found a number to which I could a text but it didn't work. I live in SE22 and baulk at the thought of walking to Peckham a mile away to try to retrieve my post.
  2. No post to Upland Road all week. Bumper post Saturday including some important post sent some time ago. This 'service' should not be tolerated. Talked to one postman who was delivering post to the other side of my road and not to my side. No post today, Monday - maybe Saturday or Sunday?
  3. MY BROTHER AND I NEED A NEW HOME!!! Hello! Our little kitten and her brother are literally crying out for a new home! They were born on 15th May 2017, have both been inoculated and recently wormed (at Norwood Road Surgery in Tulse Hill), and given flea stuff and they are BEAUTIFUL! We are all falling for them but their Mum has had enough and is bopping them (esp the girl), as has their Gran! (Muddy Magoo, however, has given up!). I would love them to go as a pair but a GOOD LOVING HOME for them is the priority. They are so sweet and affectionate and purr-y. Purr-fect, even! Please pass the word around... and about to clamber on the laptop!
  4. As per letter from Montagu Evans, Chartered Surveyors to households in the area, The old police station has been sold to Dulwich Property Holdings Ltd who intend to develop the site for housing. The proposal is to build five town houses in Upland Road opposite the garden centre. The house that is presently boarded up is to be converted into four flats. The houses will comprise a basement (kitchen and dining area), ground floor living room, another two floors comprising two bedrooms on each floor and an attic with one bedroom and a bathroom. No parking spaces have been allocated to this housing development. If the plans had been for (say) three town houses on two floors it would have been acceptable, but to build houses incorporating three floors and a basement is out of character with the immediate surroundings and should not be allowed.
