  1. @rendelharris - well said.
  2. Regardless of your view of Corbyn, people labelling him an 'extremist' is ridiculous.
  3. He's not stupid but he is fatally flawed in a number of ways.
  4. Awful. His behaviour post the Brexit vote should have finished him off politically imo. I'm amazed he's still on the front bench. Tit indeed. Titty mctitface
  5. welcome back Louisa.
  6. Sounds very dodgy - I would give him a wide birth.
  7. The whole project has been an utter disgrace and I really hope that people get held to account for their roles in it.
  8. Just found the link to Thameslink consultation page. They have provided a good station by station comparison spreadsheet. Looks like Denmark Hill will get an extra train. All now terminating at Blackfriars (if I've read it correctly). http://www.thameslinkrailway.com/your-journey/timetable-consultation/
  9. Anyone know what's going to happen to Thameslink trains from Denmark Hill?
  10. I think it's the same. Despite rising numbers of passengers, we've not seen any increase in the service for more than a decade (they have gone up and down in that time, but never above the levels they were originally at). So this part of London got absolutely nothing from LB works and associated disruption.
  11. Well done Sajid Javid
  12. It's already happened in other parts of ED
  13. There are unpleasant people on the left and right. No one has a monopoly on being a sheetbag.
  14. It'll be interesting to see what happens next, once Corbyn wins the leadership contest.
  15. I think Cameron was just in the right place at the right time - for all the reasons you say. Much like May actually, who won the leadership by just keeping quite on the sidelines and letting everyone else implode. Blair (love him or loathe him) was the only prime minister in recent memory who actively won an election by engaging and exciting large numbers of people.
  16. The fact that there is little room to move over left actually makes it more important that people don't whip out and block off those waiting to come over.
  17. Does seem a bit off sending someone door to door asking for personal information.
  18. It's perfectly clear that if you're turning left, you have to wait until you've passed the bus lane before moving across. People whizzing up the inside in order to undertake is dangerous.
  19. Unfortunately government always favour large grandiose vanity projects.
  20. That sounds preplanned as opposed to opportunistic.
  21. As soon as the sun is over the yard arm you're good. Well into drinky time now.
  22. .
  23. Alan Medic - don't get me started on that one. The amount of nepotism I see is unbelievable.
  24. I can't believe it's to distract from Brexit - I mean that's going to be a hell of a slow burner. The sh*t isn't going to really hit the fan for at least another year or two. I honestly think there is just a lot of stuff made up on the hoof without that much thought given to it depressingly.
  25. What happened to evidence based policy? Government Ministers should take a Hippocratic oath - first do no harm. Big systematic changes should always be trialed and outcomes properly analysed, before being implemented more widely. Shake ups in health and education should only be made on the basis of good evidence that they'll be effective, otherwise patients and children suffer, just to ministers can enjoy tinkering. There is just so much random on the hoof policy announced, seemingly based on little more than the 24 hour news cycle and the wim of some minster or other. Where are the grown ups?
