  1. If Penge is the New East Dulwich and East Dulwich is the New Clapham and Clapham is the New Battersea and Battersea is the New Fulham and Fulham is the New Chelsea... No I've lost track now.
  2. ... I would visit Stoned Penge

Maybe it could rebrand as stoned penge?
  4. Why is this discussion not taking place on the Penge forum?
  5. Is it just me or have the trains in this part of town just broken. The published timetables appear to be a extravagant work of fiction, especially those running into London Bridge. I would replace them with a picture of a hunched over business man, clutching a P45 and weeping. It would be more representative of reality.
  6. I wasn't particularly taking a position on DMs article, just thought I'd share it as relevant to the thread.
  7. That is brilliant. Doesn't specify whether they are looking for a male of female - not that it matters for an entirely above board PA / House keeper and .... err.... masseuse role, I'm sure.
  8. Anyone know what's happening to the former East Dulwich Deli? Looks like there is some work going on?
  9. ED is about as far out of London as I want to move (ideally, I'd choose to be a bit closer, but in ED you get 'nicer' for your money). It is just about comfortable cycling distance (i.e. under 30 minutes without breaking too much of a sweat). Once you start getting into zone 3 / 4, I kind of think that the benefits of being 'in town' significantly reduce - you may as well move out properly, somewhere on a fast train line and get more space and more greenery.

  14. Yes, does anyone know a restaurant where I can park my pig, haul my horse, or sit my sheep?
  15. Kind of situated opposite the Dog Father too.
  16. So is this selling products for dogs, or just anything tangentially doggy.
  17. A reference to the air conditioning vents in the Peckham Multiples perhaps? Who knows?
  18. Different strokes for different folks innit - no point anyone getting defensive. It's not a competition.
  19. This from David Mitchell http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/oct/05/david-mitchell-private-school-charitable-status-great-for-foreign-plutocrats
  20. I drove past on Sunday on my way back from Greenwich. Couldn't stop, but it looked great. Loads of people there.
  21. Catford is a bit grim imo. Forest gate not a bad call. Certainly likely to improve with crossrail
  22. This looks good... New Peckham Market. Could it sound the death knell for North x road? http://www.peckhammarket.com/
  23. My apologies Foxbridge I didn't notice the date. Still, it's true.
