Due to the current financial problems surrounding a lot of football clubs at the moment, Man U have had to release 15 members of staff from their payroll. The 5 referees and 10 linesman are said to be devastated.

Still want to beat him in the second leg? Brum as in Birmingham, your posts suggest you are a Birmingham supporter, or have I got that utterly wrong?

And as a Brum supporter, so you should.

He definitely has the air of dead man walking about him, and I hate to see that in any line of work. I'm sure he'll survive if he's pushed, but the game will be the poorer for it. He's one of very few gents left in the game, sorry, make that business.

The same can be said of 95% of managers currently employed, but its how they go about their business, which sets Grant apart from the likes of the previously mentioned managers.

Grant is a dignified man who came within a couple of points of winning the Prem and a kick away from winning Champs League. I feel for him. Far better manager than the likes of Megson, Allardyce, Brown et al.

Yes I think so, the team have, as you say, starting to put a run together. Who else could go and in and do a job? I wouldn't wish Allardyce on a 7 a side kids team.

And then Obinna did it for him. Stonewall penalties are only awarded at Old Stratford, didn't you know that?

Why do people congregate in the entrances to office blocks smoking and inflict their stink on others that have to pass through the reception areas, and to make matters worse come back to their desks stinking to high heaven.

I've not for a moment suggested that you had advocated anything of the sort have 1? Nor have I entered into a slanging match with anyone on this particular thread. And I've not said I enjoy reading such comments. *sigh* Why is that when someone, no matter who, puts foward a point of view that doesn't square with the views of other posters, you'll always get a response like this. Are you sure its not posts like yours which have contributed to ????'s buggering off? Talk about overly sensitive. Jeez.

Players' chief Gordon Taylor has described the Football Association as "very precious" for charging Liverpool winger Ryan Babel over Twitter posts. Babel linked to a mocked-up picture of referee Howard Webb in a Manchester United shirt after the Reds lost 1-0 to United in the FA Cup on Sunday. "Where's our sense of humour gone in our game?" Taylor, Professional Footballers' Association head, asked. "He's apologised, let's move on," he added on BBC Radio Merseyside. Quite. But thats the FA all over. Humourless, witless, and ultimately clueless.
