Well done to West Ham last night as nobody else seems to want to mention it. Wouldn't have been too bad for Manc supporters getting home last night as most of then live in London. ;-) How does it feel when an old boy does that to you? Somebody I know who is a Manc supporter tried to brush the loss off as a mere blip, but I had to point out to him that regardless of the personnel on parade, this was a top versus bottom clash, and therefore pride is a major factor. He wasn't happy. I went to the home of football to watch a very mediocre afair, but I suppose we won and thats the main thing.

To say Liverpool? Who haven't won the title for.......remind me. Or say, excuse me while I gag, Tottenham who haven't won the title since, well ask Jah, he knows. But seriously folks, support for a club is uncondtional, and is not dependent on your team winning. I've supported my team through good times and bad and so it will remain. I am not a fairweather supporter, and am not one of those that follows a club only through the good times. Glory hunters I believe they are called, ask anyone thats supported Man U since the early nineties, they'll know what that means. B)

The home of football to me is a term of affection for the club I love, nothing more nothing less. I leave it to others to think whatever they wish of that phrase.

Calling Arsenals home ground the home of football is what kicked this off.

Wherever our home ground is and three moves in a hundred years or so ain't bad, especially when we need to accomodate the number of fans that come week in week out. And yes it does travel with us. It wouldn't be Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea or Man U now would it? And it certainly would be over the border in Scotland!

My fellow EDFers', I had the pleasure and privilege, yes privilege, to watch Barca dismantle Real and tear them a new one in the process. This performance is the best I've ever seen by a club side in my 53 years on planet earth. Forget Liverpool v Chavski, forget Sunderland v Chavski, forget Mancs v Blackburn, forger Arsenal v Citeh, this was of the highest, highest calibre. And it could have been more than the 5 nil quite easily. And it was against, supposedly one of the best, and most expensively assembled, teams in the world. Imagine what they might do to the more mediocre sides!!! Messi put in a mesmerising performance but man of the match and best footballer in the world, Xavi, put in a peerless performance, he didn't give the ball away once. At that level, that is unreal. Ronaldo reverting to his pouting, petulant self when things didn't go his way (money well spent eh Real?), throwing his arms up in the air and sulking. This game will live in my memory for a long time, the one touch passing, the give and go, and the quality of Barcas attacking football was beyond measure. Real can count themselves lucky Pepe had a good game in defence. Alternatively you could have watched Leicester v Notts Forest!!!

Me too, and to think the odious man was once touted as the next England manager!!!!!! Jeez that would have been a disaster, not that England are that clever at the moment anyway!!

Now the more cynically minded conspiracy theorists out there claim a deal was struck between Allerdyce and Fergie to throw the game in favour of Mancs, as a vast Asian betting syndicate had offered them both a nice big brown envelope each plus a nice case of vintage claret each. Of course I don't believe such nonsense for a moment, after all a side such as Blackburn could NEVER lose by such a huge margin on purpose could they?
