  1. On Boxing night someone jemmied the block of spikes on top of the gate to our back garden & climbed over and stole our bikes from the shed and rear garden. Our neighbour has security lights that would have been activated but they were clearly determined and not put off ! I believe we are the 3rd house in the street this month alone, please be vigilant.
  2. It's still happening, i walk past on a regular basis. He has mental health issues and has apparently taken in a lodger who has the same issues and she is living in that front room. I'd avoid approaching him as he is unstable and has be known to be violent. Call the council & report it to the noise team
  3. Little disappointed that it's just another kebab shop, nothing different on the menu to any other place on LL, well actually it seemed to have less, even the specials board was pretty rubbish. The guy cooking asked another older guy hiding out the back to give him a hand serving some other customer's, his reply was 'what do i say ?' - what would you like was the answer ! Hope it works out for them, they've made such an effort with the decor, pity not as much with the menu. The kebabs we had were nice though.
  4. A list of names: each case very sad with circumstances entirely

different from the rest and a million miles away from the circumstance

    that raised this debate.

I pity the mind that can judge thousands of uniformed men and women by

    the actions of the few.

Thankfully, our Police Service has plenty of arm-chair experts like you,

with in-depth knowledge and specialist training to provide them with a

    constant critique.

A dangerous, challenging job, which is soon to pay peanuts. We can now

    add thankless to that list.

    Loads more to come.

  5. Well said Louisa. To insinuate that the police were the ones that were to blame for the man to be laid out on the grass makes me sick. Clearly no understanding of the police service, their deployment & that they are here to assist the public. Nigello i suppose you would have also criticised the police had they only sent one officer, god forbid you or your family ever require assistance from the emergency services & they send far too many officers.... You plum
  6. We used to have this huge stray come through the cat flap every night as soon as we had gone to bed, how it knew we had gone to bed was beyond us.... it used to eat all the cat's food and piss up everything. We changed the cat flap one night so it could come in but not go out, chased it into the bathroom and caught it in a cat basket, we took a long drive over to North London and set it free. The damn thing turned up about three weeks later looking no worse for wear !!
  7. I used to live in Overhill Road, the same thing happened to me but he did not see me whilst looking in, i left it a couple of minutes then opened the front door and the cheeky git had his tools laid out on the doorstep getting ready to break in !!! Always call the police...crime statistics do help in getting more police in the area !
