What is ED doing for the Diamond Jubilee?
gedwina replied to Pugwash's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Bunting ?1 off ebay -
Try - all my bonkers friends who think the "man is out to get them" are all heavy users of various white powders I always thought that a much easier way to "dose the population" would be to put something in the water - much easier and cheaper than flying around the place.

How do you contact the owners of East Dulwich Forum?
gedwina replied to languagelounger's topic in The Lounge
What a selfish response to a free service, fundamentally the website is the owners "trainset" and they are free to play with it as they see fit. Even as a charity / free service you have achieved an awful lot of advertising without having to pay a penny. If you don?t like the way you have been treated then vote with your feet and set up your own website. -
Should the terrapin be reported and removed? Definitely not native and dependent on species quite a predator on birds eggs etc.

cant find a parking space?
-
First Mate - The car wash has nothing to do with the m&s and a CPZ would solve this problem. This is a current problem as seen by threads on this forum. Are the 8 spaces fully used or are they the car park for the Iceland? Are they used by householders? - if so this could be a problem otherwise it will be no change to present use. How does the current shop get stock? Do they use "extremely large lorries"? or very small ones?. Currently there seems to be no issue with the Iceland lorries and I am sure that this will be the case with M%S. All I can see from the planning is the removal of 8 spaces which is minimal. Parking will always be a problem in East Dulwich and London as a whole.

Will the number of lorries really be that different with an M and S? The reduction in parking spaces seems minimal but I think that the main point should be a change in business from a low cost mass market retailer to an aspirational more top end shop. What affect will this have on the population of east dulwich who can?t afford to pay the m&s prices?

Another thought - years ago we had a flat we couldnt sell due to a very strange lease. We got Foxtons on the case and they managed to get us a fairly good price and managed to get the conveyancing through fairly quickly. They are a pain in the a**e and you pay a lot for them but they did sell the flat.

We have had this before - usually you can appeal a valuation through the agents / Mortgage Company but this will cost. When you have a situation where there is a lack of access / strange lease conditions / boundary rights etc this can skew a survey if the surveyor is not local or is unsure. Recently they are being very conservative having been burnt in the last bubble. However that does seem a large difference. First thing I would do is go to the agents and ask if they have any comparable examples of properties similar to yours and sold in your area in the last few months - this will give you an indication of who is at fault - the agents or the surveyors.

Hi James, Not sure if you are the person to contact but there is a leaking and overflowing manhole draining into the street at the end of Ryedale at the turn into Forest hill. Seems a bit criminal to let this water go to waste when we are in drought. Thanks -
I have no issues wtih 3 in se22, I have never paid more than ?50 a month since I took it out and I have had no issues with dropped calls / slow download. Saying that though - customer services is really bad. Takes forever and lots of calls to get anything done.
