They've probably been watching too much of this:
-
TiVo box interface unwieldy and unresponsive. However, I have just downloaded the Virgin TV Anywhere app and it may have made my life complete. I recommend it.

Parking restrictions are not clear. Deliberately so, I reckon. See this thread: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1667282,1667555#msg-1667555

Could these be the same people: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1666596,1666596#msg-1666596 Might be worth collating information to give to trading standards. There is definitely a crime number from when we reported this to the police. I'm happy to share information by PM. James

This very much sounds like the gentleman who extorted ?1000's out of an elderly neighbour of ours. Same MO and description. He charged way over the odds for very little work and kept on coming back for more money. I called the police as soon as I found out about it. I know they visited the culprit and got some money back for our neighbour. But the police said it was a job for Trading Standards. The man needs stopping.

Hi all, Just a warning to everyone. I always knew you couldn't park on North Cross Rd on Saturdays but didn't know you couldn't on Fridays. I and about six others got tickets a couple of Fridays ago. Then when I passed last Friday I saw at least eight cars with tickets. There is a sign there, just one, but it is quite small. They're having a field day. Don't get caught out.

Moon Ham Long, Cheltenham Rd, Nunhead is consistently great. We've just moved from Nunhead but still use it. Highly recommended.

Anybody know a pub locally where you might be able to watch 3pm kicks offs on Saturday? Specifically, Man United v West Ham. East Dulwich, Nunhead, Forest Hill, Sydenham? PM if necessary.

Otta, that sounds like my missus. Summed her right up. She takes the kid to ballet. I'll have a word....

Anybody know which pub I can watch the 3pm premiership kick offs tomorrow? Specifically Man United v West Ham. Anywhere in East Dulwich, Nunhead, Forest Hill, Sydenham?

I've been and the ice cream was delicious. But we also wanted it with a cone. There was also no price list and the lady behind the counter had to explain how it all worked. Whilst I was there I saw two customers walk in, look a bit confused and then walk out. I persevered and it was worth it but they do need to make it a bit easier for customers.

Ah! I get it now. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1553789,1553857#msg-1553857 Sorry to ruin your fun. Hilarious. As you were. I'll bow out.

This is as surreal as this thread: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1556260 Are cn150 and Bob Buzzard the same person!?

I see that American style penitentiary fencing has gone up all around the reservoir. Trespassing, I know, but it was nice to people up there enjoying the great views. I'm guessing health & safety concerns played their part.

Man of Kent, Nunhead. Always has the football on . Good pub too.

Saturday night's boxing (Froch v Groves) on in a pub locally?
James D replied to James D's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Ended up watching it in The Rye. A good atmosphere and a fine viewing experience. To 'minder': there's no doubt boxing is a contentious sport and seeing Groves in the corner with an oxygen mask on his face was scary. But they know the risks and fought well for our entertainment. -
Got a daft tip for 'Teaforthree' tomorrow at 3.20pm. 50/1 at the moment, tipster claims it'll be 12/1 tomorrow. I wouldn't take any notice.

?5 E/W on More of That. Cheers for the little tip fellas.

Have you tried asking your wife to lube up her little finger? A 'friend of mine' had the same problem and it worked a treat. Failing that, a shower head on a powerful setting.
-
Probably irrelevant, but I saw this lady http://institchyou.co.uk doing sewing portraits in a market in the Bussey building, Peckham. She was extraordinary!

Was thinking of ditching Virgin too. I have a HD TV with Freeview and Freesat built in. I've just had an ariel (not a dish) installed on the roof. It's only picking up DVB channels and not Freeview or Freesat, and I've got no HD channels. Do I need a dish for this or is DVB actually Freesat. I don't know! Can anyone advise?
