  1. I sa this on the the BBC Sports website and had a little chuckle Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has ruled out a move to Spurs - and hinted that Inter Milan remain an option. "Tottenham, and I hope the English fans will forgive me, are a club in mid-table and I need more," said Eto'o. (Fox Sports, 1220)
  2. I really don't believe he will be the first black president of the USA, I still believe America is too right wing to allow it.
  3. It is kind of ironic that the club & fans stuck by Ronaldo when he was castigated for getting Rooney sent off during the last world cup, and also that Van Nistleroy, who famously fell out with Ferguson over Ronaldo, after he claimed Ferguson was overly protective of Ronaldo, is now saying that the best club in the world wants the best players in the world. That is a kind of perverse twist to this. Players unfortunately these days have little or no loyalty to any club, no matter what the club has done for them. Look at Cashley Hole as the perfect example of extreme treachery.
  4. I have no real feelings on the subject. Speaking as a fan, I've always stated that no player is bigger than the club. We and Man U, have had many big players come and go in the past and we still challenge for the biggest honours every season. Players come and go, the Club is the be and end all in my book. If a player has set his sights elsewhere, let him go, before he destabilises the dressing room.

  7. I'd ask him if he wanted extra jalapenos on his pizza. ;-)
  8. I came across a story over the weekend that made me cringe. It involved a herion addict that has given birth to 3 children. The last child she gave birth to died a horrible and agonising death according to the coroner who also lambasted the mother for her reckless and thoughtless attitude. If this story is accurate, then I've never come across a more deserving case for enforced sterilisation. If a person chooses to put poison into their own body, fine. But don't put a baby through what must be a horrific death. Yet another story that makes me despair of the human race.
  9. You always know somebody is about to make a disparaging comment when they preface it by saying "I don't mean to be rude but" which means that they are about to be rude.

And you're right > spitting IS the lowest of the low. Did you see the tackle by one of Cashleys team mates on him during training. Classic! Do you think someone from The Arsenal slipped somebody a few quid to break his ankle? :)
  11. It's good to see the terrestrial channels will be screening a fair few of these games. That means I don't have to go down to the boozer and spend copious amounts of money watching the games on Sky.
  12. If Terry did spit, and I don't know for sure, then he certainly doesn't deserve the England armband. I've never been a fan of his or Ferdindand, but spitting is the lowest of the low. On the final itself, that's the second time Man Ure have got lucky in CMPL final, the first was against Bayern and again last night. But I'm glad Cashley Hole was on the losing side, again. The judas money grabbing scroat deserves it.
  13. How funny was it watching Terry crying, and the looks on the faces of the rest of the Chavski team, priceless! Hopefully Ronaldos miss will encourage him to stop that stupid stop start run up of his. Lucky for him Anelkas penalty was a stinker and easy for Van de Saar to save.
  14. So Joey Barton is jailed eh? Couldn't have happened to nicer chap.

I am of Turkish Cypriot extraction, or perhaps this is your little jest which is derived from the make up of THE ARSENAL team you mischievious little minx you.
  17. Yasa Turk Milleti!!!! Come on Turkey.
  18. Just seen this on the BBC sports website Lassana Diarra has a gentleman's agreement with Portsmouth that he can quit Fratton Park if one of European football's big clubs come knocking. (Daily Mail, 1112 BST) Kinda tells you why Chelsea & The Arsenal were keen to off load him. Obviously the man has an over-inflated view of his own worth.

And of course you are the most broadminded bloke alive. Tommy Burns, from what I hear, was a deeply religious man who was not at all interested in the sectarian shit that you seem to be keen on, and espouse with alarming abandon. So please don't attribute your thoughts to the dead.
  21. Ladygooner, I said it was played on English soil, the fact the the UK contingent was Scottish maybe conveniently overlooked by UEFA.
  22. Yes I agree Keef, all the violence surrounding the tie spoilt the whole thing. And I guess UEFA will come out with the same old crap about it being an English thing because it was played on English soil. I could be wrong but..............
  23. I doubt Tommy Burns was that small minded and probably far more important things to worry about over the last 48 hours.
  24. still the same - bob seger and the silver bullet band
  25. Hard luck Rangers, but to be fair, Zenit were worthy winners last night as were Hull.
