  1. I see Diarra has gone out of his way to endear himself to Pompey fans, he is reported as saying that if a big club comes in for him while playing for pompey he will be off. There's nothing like loyalty to a club, and that's nothing like loyalty to a club. Good bloody riddance to yet another overinflated ego!!!!
  2. swing you daddy - jim Gilstrap

  5. I'm 50 fast approaching 51 and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!!! I always wanted to work for a record company, which I did in 74/75 for a period of a year, the company was called Contour Records based in Hanover Square off of Oxford Street. I loved it to death but unfortuntely the company went under because of huge losses. Since then I've been made redundant at leasrt 5 times. I'm thinking of changing my name to lucky!!!!!!!!! :(

  7. What a waste - Ian Dury & the Blockheads (sampled magnificently by a Tribe Called Quest on "Can I Kick it")
  8. Man who sold the world - hit for Bowie & Lulu, but Nirvana did it on MTV unpluged and it is a beautiful version, as is the whole set.

Thanks for that, I'll have to get myself a copy. Thanks again, looking for it can go on my list of things to do at the weekend.

I would love to have heard his take on it. Although he did play the piano on the Rod version.

I've asked all the people I know that have season tickets to do me a favour a get me a ticket, as a Red Member I can very rarely get tickets via the club website, and anyway my mates are far more reliable than our website. So far no joy, although I have been to your place for the last 4 seasons running thanks to generous buddies that have sold me tickets at face value. I still waiting but I'm realistic about someone wanting to give up their ticket for this match. A guy at work who is a Spurs fan claims that you will be fielding a weakened sqaud against Sunderland at the weekend in preparation for the visit of the Arse. If that's true it makes you wonder where Ramos' priorities lie.
  16. Lyin' Eyes - The Eagles
  17. Diarra has gone to Pompey. I say good riddance, we've had one Le Sulk, we don't need another.
  18. K-Jee - A hit for the Niteliters and covered by MFSB (and featured in Saturday Night Fever), MFSB version is far superior

  20. Doctor my eyes - Jackson Browne
  21. That's alright mama - Elvis, but the original, better than Presleys version, Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, who died in abject poverty. Isn't rock music wonderful?

  23. So the fans choice, King Kev is back at the Toon and they Love It!!! Well the quality of football can't get any worse that the brand the Toon were producing under Sam "foreigner players are the reason why the English team is so crap" Allardyce. I like Kev, good player, not sure about his management performance but at least he displays passion. I know that's is not a pre-requisite for success but at least it shows you care. Good luck to the Toon (but not against the Arse)
  24. It's all over now, huge hit for the Stones but the better version is Bobby Womack & The Valentinos. or Wherever I lay my hat, huge hit for Paul Young (Gawd knows why) or the original by the marvellous, late Mravin Gaye.
  25. The great pretender - Platters
