Just wanted to say thanks (and welcome to the new members) and the supportive messages on the facebook group Im a frightened arthropod (insect)get me out of here and the messages and ideas for my website wwww.allanimalsdeserverespect.moonfruit.com this is only one of those free websites so l am a little limited with space on it but if it takes off well enough l might pay the small subscription and make it a bigger site in time. just wanted to say thanks for the nice support so far and hope you start using the forum on the site soon, there are quite a few pages that are only available for members as l could only get some pages to show. l have never set up a website before and because this is free l dont get any instructional support on how to do it so lm learning as l go so if a page suddenly vanishes thats why(l have only done this twice so far) and it will reappear soon after lol.

Hi Ratty how do l find out if thats what its doing? wouldn't it have been done the same thing when plugged in the portable? cos it worked fine then but just wont do sound when plugged into the main set up. the other things in the set up are a panasonic dvd recorder, bush dvd player which has now separated itself from the panasonic so l now cant copy disc to disc but that stopped b4 change of vcr, there is also a selector box, the previous vcr worked gr8 till it went into standby now it seems to have hibernated as it wont come out of standby :-( l just want to transfer some tapes to disc so l can clear some of them out.

hi loz just tried changing the scart and single pin leads to the ones l used when connecting it to the potable but still no sound?

sadly l only have the iphone 3gs at the moment and the loudest alert is the horn and thats next to useless :-(

does anyone know of anything l can do re a sony vcr and sky+ hd box disagreement, my previous vcr (bush) died and l replaced it with a sony, but although l have changed no wires etc l cannot get any sound from the vcr only picture, l set the sony up with a potable on its own and can get clear picture and sound but when connected back to the set up with sky+ hd box no sound??? thx in hope

well said Sue lm glad lm not the only one who can see the difference in the two contrasts, thanks to all the people who have joined my website hope you like it, maybe when you have settled in you will post on my forum. To think only last week all l was worried about was the student protests re my upcoming protest re lm a celeb now l may need to hire a sleigh just to get out and do the protest lol. not gonna let a little bit (well a big bit) of white stuff stop me from doing something l believe in.

does anyone know if there is an easy way to get at least one added text alert without jail breaking etc as l am sick of missing texts from people and getting the info too late.

Aquarious Moon yes there are people that agree with you.... me l have been having a battle with the producers of lm a celeb for about 3years now and their pilot prog The Door for a year, l set up a facebook page titled Im a frightened arthropod get me out of here(which the ITV tried to have banned and failed) l did 2 proptests outside the ITV studios in London, the first for nearly 2weeks +only stopped cos they gave me the private email of one of the main producers and asked me to email her. the second protest (which started when after emailing the producer as requested l received a reply 3weeks later to say that they acknowledged my email but saw no reason to change) went on for 5weeks and only stopped cos they offered me a rare meeting with 4 of the excecutive producers to put my facts across. l attended the meeting with over 1000 signatures plus emails of support from over 40 major animal charities and orgs, including a personal email from Brian May. Despite all this and plenty more they still stuck by their original fob off saying they saw no evidence to make them feel the need to change the abuse of animals in the programmes. l am therefor about to go somewhere a little more public and do a few more one day protests to get more publicity and to let them know that l shall not stop until the animal abuse is removed from their shows. with regards to the comment made by DJKilla Queen there is a significant differance between killing insects to protect your health or home and the needless killing of thousands of insects purely so that people at home can squirm at a so called celeb eating a living cockroach or witchety grub. l go into all this in more detail on my website www.allanimalsdeserverespect.moonfruit.com a title l truly believe in, as has been embarrassingly been proved in the late night or early morning when l have pleaded with some kind passing milkman or shop person to come and capture and release various spiders from my home(lm sure these spiders have a secret stash of growth hormones or steroids by the size they get). l have no problem with any other arthropod and until a few months ago was the proud keeper of 4 giant hissing cockroaches until a friend who was looking after my home and animals,decided to panic when putting some food in for the cockroaches and knocked their home over and trod on 2 of them in the panic to leave the room, the other 2 were either eaten by my cat or escaped out of the patio door which he had left open.

if only the tones for text alerts could be sorted as easily, surely apple must know by now how irratating it is to only have barely audible tones for texts and send out some kind of update software to allow the change of text alerts to be changed like the ringing alerts can.
