Yep!
I could see from his earlier post that poor DF was struggling to see what had p*ssed so many people off!

Pointless supposition. Not fine.

Fine.

Ignorant, inaccurate and potentially damaging. Not fine.
Hope that helps.

Miserable git is one thing, no one would mind that. Damaging and unfounded comments abut a new business, quite another.

Love the website name! :))

Terrible news.
I was a bit taken aback to hear Andrew Castle on LBC this morning referring to ED as ?a rough area? where you ?really have to watch yourself? Maybe he?s right after this.

That?s a free name, there would be a fee for a more professional domain.

Helpful answers, many thanks :)

Hi - wondering how you got on with this, as I'm considering doing the same later this year.
-
Indeed, and Admin?s snobbish views are irrelevant, surely!

Yes I must say I felt the same when I saw the exchange between Tropicbyjennifer and Admin. Unfair and unduly harsh. In these circumstances when a woman is running a business at home, surely she can be allowed to provide (and prove) her trading address to Admin privately.

Saied has been round to prune the fruit trees which he planted a few years ago. I usually do this myself but felt they needed his expert eye this year. As always, he was reliable, friendly and full of useful advice. Did a great general tidy up too. Thanks Saied.

This place is great. Fantastic beer selection, friendly staff. When we went last week there was a pop up menu by Stranger Naans (home made flatbreads & wraps) - turns out they're going to be there daily from tomorrow onwards which is great news because the food was ace!

I can still see yours.....

Well I agree with all that, would certainly not run a business like that myself, and also get very irritated when people don?t reply.....but like I say, a lot of them don?t use this forum and aren?t necessarily aware of their reviews....good or bad!
-
Yes, and if I hadn?t I?d have been annoyed, given up and moved on.
Sorry, didn?t intend to cause you yet more annoyance!
In my experience, most of the highly rated tradespeople I?ve used don?t visit this forum - they don?t have time!
-
Personally I would think twice before trying to damage the reputation of an otherwise highly recommended tradesman by complaining about him on a public forum. As said above, you don't know why you didn't get a response.

Surprised to read this. My experience of Niko is that he is ultra reliable and communicative.

Not clear as to the meaning of your post, did you mean there was no need to post on the main board? I did wonder about that, but thought it may have a greater reach. I never look at the Lost/Found board unless I've actually lost or found something, but always look at this one, particularly if it mentions my own road.

Thank you, both. Will pass this info on.

Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right section for this post, but here goes.
Posting for a friend who is caring for a close family member at home. He has advanced dementia and very poor mobility. Social services are involved but she wants to explore some private options.
She asked me to post here to ask if anyone has experience of, or can recommend, a carer who can help for an hour or two most evenings. This would be mainly to help get him to bed, so it would be quite physical work. A local person would be ideal as the time required is short (there are other carers involved so this would be to supplement what they do)
This is for the short term but it looks like a live in carer may be be the better solution eventually.
Any advice or personal recommendations for either or both scenarios would be much appreciated.
Thanks x

Fair enough, Admin.
Could you also clarify that ignorant and damaging conjecture about new businesses won't be tolerated?
