  1. Another recommendation from us. We just had Richard coming to remove a mix of waste left in our back garden after some DIY (a few bags with rubble, old wood, old paint tins...). He was great, prompt, quick, and a nice guy - we needed to rearrange the agreed date a couple of times and he was always very accommodating. Very happy with Richard?s service.
  2. Just wanted to add my thumbs up for Darren who has just been assessing and working on a blocked gutter drain at the front of our house which is creating some damp in our living room. He left a few minutes ago leaving it unblocked which was not a straightforward task. He looked at the gutters at the back of the house as well and concluded (and proofed) they were fine (where another guy had said, almost without checking, that we would need them all unblocked!) He is coming back on a dry day to have a look at our roof as the rain today made it dangerous to go up. All of this at very short notice as I only called him yesterday, however, despite him being really busy, when I explained that I am pregnant and due next Monday he immediately agreed to come and have a look today! A very nice, reliable and honest guy - nice to still find tradesmen like him. Ana
  3. Hi Anyone out there who could help us with retouching the background of our product images? We are a VERY small start-up and have around 200 images of our products however, the background is not right. It's sort of dark cream and we need to make it lighter and brighter. This is a straightforward photoshop retouch process, however it's time consuming and we need to have this done by the end of the week/ end of day Monday. If there is anyone out there who would be willing to help for a very moderate fee, please get in touch! Thanks
  4. Hi all Another resident here to reiterate all that has been said above by my neighbour - to our absolute disbelief, the rumours are true. Cannot get into details at this point but everything mentioned in this post, we as residents are also asking through various channels. How did this happen. It is devastating, from a personal perspective and from a social one. How has this happened. How has this been allowed to happen.
  5. Hello, Happy to do either. I'm curious about The Herne after having heard some really nice things actually, but we can do that another day perhaps. Another one for the list is the recently opened "Cafe G" in Peckham Rye, by The Gardens. Really child friendly and very nice coffee I thiught!! Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow.
  6. Hi ladies, I am due my first baby in a week (!). All my life I had thought that if I ever had a baby I would choose an elective caesarean but then I felt pregnant and after a lot of reading and discussing with doctors and midwifes, I opted for a natural birth. And now that it is so near, I am, of course, not panicking, but definitely unsure about it. My question in case anyone can help is: being a week away, it would definitely be too late to try and reverse my decision wouldn't it...? Thanks! Ana
  7. Hello all and Happy New Year! My first baby is due on the 12th but have just started my maternity leave hence the rather late arrival to this thread. It would be great to meet you all though if you still take on new comers? Let me know please and congratulations to those of you who have had their babies already! Ana
  8. Thanks all for your replies, I have made contact, let's see how it goes! AnaC.
  9. I would like to add another high recommendation for Frank. He helped us move house last weekend and was incredibly helpful. He does it the "old fashioned way" as I like to call it, i.e. none of that "I can't do this, I can't do that", he just helps you move your stuff and wastes no time either! Besides being efficient he is also absolutely lovely indeed, a very pleasant man. And very reliable. I needed to phone him again two days ago, a bit of a last minute thing with a heavy item for this morning and although he had been working until very very late yesterday night, there he was today at 7:30am as agreed. Seriously, look no further, I will never use anyone else again. Frank is THE man with a van. AnaCarmen

  14. Hey! Well McCabe, my long weekend away has not happened in the end... The upside being - I will be there tomorrow to follow your commands as you enthusiastically drag us around the park! Sooo, see you then, AnaCarmen
  15. I will be there! And I am bringing my beautiful-yet-so-heavy bike, so you'll see what I am talking about... Thinking of getting a new one, lighter and faster so I can join that cycle group of yours!! AC
  16. I must be feeling your pain and mine then Kenneth. Loved it yesterday and will definitely be coming back (not for the next two weeks though as I will be abroad!). Thanks!
  17. Morning!, I am up, awake and fresh, so no excuse, I am coming today! Could anyone let me know if there are bicycle racks by the cafe?? Thanks!
