Chippy thanks for that ... i am going to stick with the 8ft one then, we could fit a 10ft one in, but it might as you say dominate, so that is really good advice.
I have now ordered an 8 foot trampoline, but am worried it is not "big enough" - can anyone tell me if they have an 8f fot or 10 ft, and if it is "big" enough!
I would be interested in if it was drop in sessions. I think 4.00 - 5.30 might be better, as they would need to eat, and getting home, eating, after 6.00 might start getting too late.
To add to my earlier question, could i ask you what size trampoline you have ... I need to decide betwee a 8 ft or a 10 ft ...... any advice appreciated I would like to buy a trampoline for my 4 year old daughter. Can anyone recommend a make / outlet where I could go, and what size is suitable. We have the typical smallish type garden ..... I am thinking of getting the one with the net around it. If anyone has any good avice on trampline buying I would be happy to hear it!
I would so be interested in this as well - I posted this in wanted a while ago, and dont think i got any information - but we desperately need a financial overhaul as well, so will also keep watching , and if i get any recommendations pass them on
I used Toby the Magician (I found his details on the forum) He was brilliant. Kept 20 children occupied for over an hour from a range of ages 3 - 6. I would definately recommend him.
I would imagine you would pay around ?100 for any entertainment (as the person coming would be factoring in time to get there, to leave etc) You can do a craft yourself though quite easily. Buy some (party) hats for them to decorate / or get some paper plates that they can stick stuff on. If you cut up lots of bits of paper / stickers etc you could pretty much manage it yourself. I would avoide paints and glitter! You could make some biscuit dough and get them to cut out biscuits, and then decorate them aterwards when cooked (and use for their partybags afterwards. Or buy premade cupcakes and decorate them. Good luck!
Have you tried ebay .... I am sure i remember seeing them for sale when I was looking for things for my daughters party bags ....I dont know baker ross so not sure if it something particular you are looking for!
Dog kennel Hill adventure playground is running some activities - there is a post somewhere relating to this You might need to check the one o clock club at peckham rye as it has some days that it is closing (but i cant remember - but yesterday when i walked past the outside part was open) How about a swim / soft play at peckham rye pulse
Show her how to make an exaggerated chewing motion. Get her to copy you and make a game of it. HOwever, if not breastfeeding / dummy or bottle - then I would get a lollipop or some chewy sweets - the pain they feel / screaming etc is not worth (in my humble opinion) not giving sweets. YOu can get "healthier lollies" - some of the health shops have manuka honey ones / etc etc
The cafe in the park has voucehrs that supposedly give up to 30% off with the voucher> the ticket also says discount internet booking at www.zippos.co.uk
This might be a bit far for you but the pool in Deptford is very warm and has a large area that is shallow and where toddlers can walk. I think this area is available at all times. However on weekends and during the holidays you might need to find out what time a session starts at. when I take my duaghter swimming, during school time the pool has about 3 - 5 people floating in various parts. (I have found myself there during a holiday week and it was hellish!)
I read Shantaram and loved it - agree with lots of the suggestions on here. I am trying to think about the book that takes place in Greece on a leper colony! CAn anyone remember the title, i have gone blank, I Loved it!
I used Tricky Toby - magician - my daughter and her friends loved him. She still speaks of his tricks! I think his number is on here, if not send me a message and I will find it and send it on to you.
Went here on the weekend just gone- was very nice, will def go back. Plenty of rabbits hopping about and horse riding too. The village of Alfriston itself is quite interesting and pretty. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=5002
I used to use a women in North London (when i lived there) - what i loved was that she picked up and brought back my ironing. It was always beautifully presented (i did give her hangers for the ironing). She always turned it around in the same day (not that that was necessary, but useful). She was cheaper than using a laundromat.
