Help to decide about the name for my Beauty room!
Annette Curtain replied to little-berries's topic in The Lounge
OK For this one time i'll try to be serious. My other half is in the industry ( she supplies many a salon ) The names that have stuck in my head ( for the wrong reason maybe ) a top 10 chart of sorts. There are a few real stinkers that slip my mind, so I'll ask her when she comes in. Beauty with fire Fire & Ice Studio by_______ ( your name here, there are loads of these ) Porquoi Pas ( in essex I think. Imagine the phone being answered "Pukkwaa paaaaaaa. 'ow may I 'elp youoooo" ) The Beauty Room ( a brighton based business ) Therapia ( gone bust ) In fact many don't last sadly. Good luck though & keep it simple. -
Eating is such a joy. Luckily ( for me ) I travel to many parts of our great city in the working week & I feel we are truly spoilt for choice. So, I'd like to start a thread for "Off the Manor" eateries. ( though still easily accessible by public transport ) Of late I've been based in Hoxton Square E1. So I can recommend The following....both accessible by the new East london line ( hoxton or shoreditch high St ) Cay Tre. 332 Old Street EC1 KEU bahn mi deli. 301 Old Street EC1 Both are Vietnamese and owned by the same people. The first is a sit down canteen style. Not particularly fancy but the food is very good/fresh. Charcoal grilled barbecue pork, with chilled noodles and spring rolls is heavenly. ?6:00 at lunch time. Also loads of other street food and excellent Pho noodle soups all at ?6:00 Helpful & joyful staff, which is a bonus. The deli is sit in or take-away, far newer/more stylish with lots of different options too. Vietnamese/French bread baguettes and one plate meals.Plus good coffee. Oh, and lastly, the visual people traffic is "delicious" too. Enjoy. Nette:))

I'm much more furious with Red Leicester; which is neither red nor from Leicester. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ab/Cheese_25_bg_051306.jpg/800px-Cheese_25_bg_051306.jpg ( the red object in this image is an apple btw ) RosieH. maxxi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Does this mean that purgatory is filled with > Babybels? Yes. Purgatory is a giant fondue of bubbling hot cheese maxxi, though i'm not sure it's limited to "Babybels" as i'm sure the odd cheese string or Bavarian Smoked slips in there. Does that answer your question ? H-E

RosieH Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I have another question: Dear all seeing Hand-Eye, > will I ever have dinner with people who can > navigate a cheese board and don't cut the cheese > so as to nab all the best bits for themselves? Ah Rosie Welcome back to the table of the fountain of knowledge. The Hand-Eye? says.... There once was a woman who saw heaven and hell, but found they were nearly the same. Each one consisted of a group of people sitting at a round table with cheese. But their chopsticks were way too long to eat cheese with! The difference was that people in heaven were always full of cheese and happy, while the people in hell were messin' with the cheese. H-E

Of course you will can win, the odds aren't bad at 16 million to one. The old saying "to eat an elephant, you must start with the first bite" is never more pertinent. H-E

Really.. And you get paid to fold/figure out paper/stuff ? The H-E sees a bright and ordered future for you ( but then you don't need a H-E to tell you that). *puts kettle on* :-S

Yes, it's the all seeing.... http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/7408/photo1xk.jpg Hand-Eye? I have developed a "secular stigmata" of sorts from a recent burn. It seems to have a power all of its own. I Look into the Hand-Eye and see the future. You too can share my gift before the Hand-Eye? closes ( never to reopen ) You may ask it ONE powerful & personal question. Namsate⍨ Nette(?)
