Bla bla... Trouble is @L.B she's ( Ladymuck) has gone into "Tra-laa-laa" fingers in the ears, "I can't hear you" mode, thinking up infinite varieties of "ifs & buts" She'll end up having to breathe into a brown paper bag soon, poor love. Anyway, if the Odocoileus virginianus doesn't get a look-in in this story I'll be very, very disappointed. :)A.

  9. Hmmmmm. If there's a chest of drawers in his room then split the money equally between each drawer That should reduce the risk by at least 4/5th's ( re-calculate for more drawers though ) :-SA.Curtain

  14. Really daizie, silly comments like yours on such a subject really could upset some. Actually I found my neighbor dead, yes dead as a doornail, her newspapers uncollected from the letterbox for days. When I looked through the back window there she was, lifeless under the sofa. (I often wonder what was she doing under that sofa ?) NO flies though (that was a bonus) :-SAnnette

  16. I've looked at the " Swallows in love " photo story Ah....It's sad yes But do you think there's a swallow reading a love story about a dead human ? Of course not (selfish birds that they are) :'(Annette
  17. Indicators left on but no intention of turning Far worse in my opinion Do gypsy's use indicators (when getting married) (?)Annette
  18. Any news from Tarot on the subject ? (I fancy a laugh) Or maybe she's on the front line saving every slug & beetle in her aquarius moon guise ( or should that be Pieces moon now ) ( they are the same person, right ? ) :)Annette
  19. I've tried measuring mine but keep gagging when the ruler touches my tonsils ( that is where we measure from right ? ) So instead & as a comparison my tongue is the same length as a saveloy ::o Annette
  20. Shank of Venison braised slowly so it's falling of the bone, neeps & tatties of course. I love a Mc Sweens BUT it doesn't love me ( oh the heartburn, feels like "I swallied tha lump o' coal from hogmanay" ) Glenmorangie 10 year old ( Madeira casked, West coast girlie Whisky apparently ) And of course a wee poem ( McGonagall's The Tay Bridge Disaster ) Lastly, this year we've a Fiddler to play the supper in ( which is nice ) :) Annette

Is this as far as we've got " probably if they dont go along with it they would be beaten or murdered " I can hear the headline now on the BBC "Petrol up 1p a litre & another Gypsy beaten to death for not going along with it, whatever IT is ? " Don't tell me you've been reading that Greer stuff as well ? Do you honestly think there is "a world wide problem of how men totally disrespect women" No :'( A.C

  24. siousxiesue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > No but I would like to eliminate misogyny! I didn't see much women hating myself, in fact the men & boys positively liked the girls, maybe your mistaking misogyny with machismo ? With that in mind did you read Tobias Jones in the Observer magazine this Sunday, he talks about living in a close to nature commune & how old fashioned gender roles are subtly reasserted. He goes on to say " What suprised me is that so many people ( men & women ) seem contented, rather than frustrated, to rediscover the differences" Maybe it's got some thing to do with sitting around a campfire at night, I don't know but either way a strong sense of loyalty & community pervades, not a bad thing in my book :) Annette
