My nettecatboy stays out most nights He hates being kept in, though I do see him sleeping sometimes on the logpile, near the bay window. So I know he's close by But during Winter, he's in by the fire most nights We did suffer with mice here (before he came) though not any longer. In all, he's just doing "cat-stuff" and loving it. I do remember when I lived cheek by jowl in ED , the close proximity of others AND their cats seemed all to noticeable However, up here in open/leafy Sydenham. It just ain't as bad And for those 'pussys' that do break the rules, i've got a GIANT PUMP ACTION WATER PISTOL Netts

I've loved watching RVP over the years, he's shown a confidence and verve which has epitomised Arsenals style of play (though he has done a runner before has our RVP http://www.standard.co.uk/news/arsenal-star-flees-crash-7226922.html) Still, he's 28 and in the last days of being ripe for big wages offer, from a club like city. And, I still think the damage of that the old T.Henry ( shall I shan't I ) move caused a few years back, lingers at the club However, get shot of him and move on We will though have to bite the bullet of change in the not too distant future, that might include Wenger. Arsenals A team have almost become a de facto academy for other top flight clubs Don't get me wrong, we are good at it. But what the future holds "as is" I don't know. I just hope that what SJ says re: FFP that Wenger will be there to benefit Really.... Nette

Anyway, anyway, anyway... The Shard's already been done else where, as I saw today If you saw the closing credits of "Herbie Rides Again" (1974), then you'll see in the background near the Golden gate bridge a perfect "shard" pointy type building So, meh. The (rip-off) Shard mk II in London stinks Anyway and that aside, I was having dinner on Friday with an Architect friend of mine, who has designed the interiors of the apartments in the Shard. He tells me that the paranoia about the twin-towers is what led them to eventually opt for the mixed use, rather than straight commercial use. However, office specification ceiling heights for the build, were already in place once this revision had been decided. So the new residential floors suffer from lower than average ceiling height, once the floors are raised and the false ceilings go in to accommodate all the services required. All that for around ?20 + million a pop. That said, the 360 degree view will be fabulous (as long as your not hitting your head on the chandeliers) Nette -

That "please place your goods in the bagging area" thing EACH time I do try not to answer the thing back and get a "clear run" But NO... "Unexpected item in the bagging area" What does it mean, "unexpected item". I came in empty handed, all the items are from YOUR FRIGGIN shelves, what "unexpected" fekkin thing can it be. Oh yes I see my error, it must be this Hippopotamus i've bought in with me and unwittingly placed in said "bagging area", yes that'll be it. Or my rage maybe? Who trains those machines; the same person who does SURI no doubt ? Arggggggghhhhh KILL KILL KILL that machine And while i'm at it; what is it with people who use that machine and don't bag up as they go. No really, stupid-pin-headed-morons who put everything on the scale shelf thing after scanning, then bag it up as slow as they fancy. Are they that thick skinned that they can't see/feel people seeeeeeething behind them. And while i'm at them, why not make a bloody phone call while you're at it, why don't you. I HATE YOU *ahem* Anyway, nice day, eh ? Nette -

Booooo Rain stops play Rescheduled until next week ( I think ) Still, at least I got to stand round on Peckham Rye in the pouring rain, whilst the-golden-child ran his energy off And that's a good thing A bit bonkers, but not as bonkers the man jogging in bare feet Nette -
The whole story's a bit fishy Let me guess; was he was riding a motor pike and side-carp ? *holds nose* Nette

"I was > looking at the glass all the way around thinking, > 'Why on earth did we do that?'" Oh yes I agree & it's no way perfect It looks like a working mathematical equation made physical But, it has been very well received, & people feel genuine affection for it It also broke relatively new ground when it was built. The Shard; it's big innit ! Nette -

Two establishments which cannot & will not be named or even uttered, for fear of being sent to a penal colony ( I nearly wrote 'penile' which was fun ) I know of one (the one of the suspended refractive glass illumination) but pray, which other is caressing the gimp mask of free speech Do tell (in code of course) Netts

You can post whatever you "come to think about" on that thread (do feel free to add your own a.c.t.t.a.i's) Hope that clears things up Netts
