  1. Hi all, Have been very absent from this thread for a while and thus can now say that our boy Daniel arrived day after due date on Feb 2nd. Not quite the short, 5 hour labour I had somehow convinced myself I was going to have second time round, but a good one nonetheless. It actually took us 2.5 weeks to get the name anyway, so I couldn't have come on here any earlier. He was baby with no name for so long it's actually proving difficult to remember to call him Dan. I've had my bloke around since then (4 weeks of leave by dint of using up holiday) which has been bliss. Haven't really yet come to terms with the idea that I'm going to have to look after two of them on my own at some point, but have parents around for the next month so am just not thinking about it too much! Will try and make a Monday meet up or afternoon one some time soon, and would love to host a meet up too, though poss not quite yet. Will try and do better at coming on the forum to get times of meet ups etc. Jane x
  2. Hi All, I will try and make it tomorrow morning for 10 too. Will have my first with me plus bump, which I wish was a baby by now but just doesn't seem to want to move. That said my due date is still not til Wed so I guess I can't really complain yet. Jane x
  3. Hi all, Congratulations to all those that have had their babies, I'm getting increasingly envious. I've been totally crap about staying in touch with this thread and made it to a very poor total of only 1 actual meet up! However this is meant to be my last full day at work and I'm very hopeful to be done with work completely by end of next week. Thus I shall hopefully have some more time to actually be on the forum and would love to meet up with people as and when the deliverees are up for it, or indeed the still-waitings are too. I'm due Feb 1st but am entirely convinced I'm going to be early, hence finishing work. It's going to be ironic if I end up two weeks late! Still I won't mind having a bit of time whilst number one is still in childcare and I'm not at work to do a bit of nesting and getting the house ready. Hope everyone's well and look forward to trying to actually put some more names to faces over the coming months. Jane x
  4. I'm going to be a bit late Tuesday as have late work meeting going on til 7. Hope to be there before 8 at the latest though and very much looking forward to meeting everyone. Jane x
  5. Mine was in exactly your pattern when I started her with our nanny-share at 6 months. The other baby was older and was doing short morning nap, big afternoon one. I wanted them to be in sync to make it easier for the nanny. I just slowly cut down the morning nap over about a week and extended the afternoon one. In our case it was really quite easy to get her to change I was doing it earlier than you as well. That said, clearly it depends on the child. I just mention to give you one example of where it worked pretty easily. Maybe just start trying to shift the naps and see what happens? J
  6. Hi Everyone, I'm very late joining this thread - bit of a lax forum user. Was just saying to a friend today that I needed to find some mums due in Winter and she said come look here and hurray, here you all are! I'm due Feb 1st, it's my second and my daughter will be 17 months by then (!!! Concpetion second time round turned out to be much, much more efficient and now I am very, very terrified.). I'd love to meet up and will put the 27th in my diary if that's ok. Would really like to hear what all the second-timers are doing about double buggies. Is it the Gowlett we're heading for? And what time? Jane x
