http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1595681,1595715#msg-1595715 I recently posted and received some really helpful advice. Definitely don't wait for the NHS/ GP referral.. I've been seeing an osteopath once a week and she's wonderful. I now have an appointment to see a physio at St Thomas's but it's 6 weeks after I initially went to the GP I was in a lot of pain but the osteopath has been great. I go to the charity one in Wandsworth which is specifically for children and pregnant ladies.

Hi I've been looking out for this thread. Third time mum in March 2016. My older two will both be in full time school from September 2016 so definitely keen to meet mums in the area with similar aged babies. Adelle x

Can anyone recommend an Osteopath for SPD in pregnancy? I've just been to the GP and have the tell tale signs. I've been referred to Kings for Physiotherapy. But wondered if anyone had been to and could recommend an Osteopath that is trained to help with SPD. Also eager to hear any other advise on how I can get to the end of this pregnancy as comfortably as possible. I'm only 22 weeks and whilst it's currently bearable I am aware it can get quite bad and I'd really like to do all I can to avoid that. Thanks for reading. Adelle x

We have just had Rafal here today fitting a new kitchen oak worktops. Rafal is very professional, reasonably priced and a skilled carpenter. Highly recommended. Will be using him again ourselves in the new year for some tiling and alcove cupboards Adelle

Personal trainer boxing for women
NannyAdelle replied to Charlotte malik's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I would like to add my recommendation for Simone and Mind over matter personal training. www.facebook.com/mindovermatterboxing I have fallen in love with a sport that I never knew interested me before September. Simones love and passion for boxing is contagious. She trains you as if you will eventually get in the ring. I have no intentions to spa. But it's her professional and passionate approach that makes each class go by too quickly. I've noticed my own strength and fitness improve vastly since starting the classes. If you think you might like to give it a go come along everyone there is so friendly and a lot of us beginners, some have trained before whatever your level Sinone can accommodate your needs. Recommendation for Simones boxing classes Mckenzies gym
NannyAdelle replied to hairandeyes's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I have to agree ladies. Simone is a passionate teacher who loves her sport. I have joined her classes with absolutely no boxing experience and limited fitness. Today is only my 6th class and I'm already feeling fitter and stronger. I haven't weighed myself as I feel like I'm gaining muscle and muscles weigh more but Simone is tracking my body fat and muscle percentages on a monthly basis. I wholeheartedly recommend the classes. Come and give it a go you won't regret it. Adelle -

Be part of East Dulwich's first ever Jumble Trail!
NannyAdelle replied to Xenia's topic in What's on in East Dulwich
Any interest in organising another one of these? I'd really like to do this if there enough people showing an interest on here I will set one up on the jumble trail website. Adelle -
My daughter will be joining the preschool in a couple of weeks. My son attended just over a year ago. I believe there are still a few places left for September start at the nursery. Was there something specific that you wanted to know as I may be able to answer your questions. As the other replies have suggested there is a FB page and website but your best bet is to go in and have a look around they reopen on the 9th Sept. Adelle

Explaining to a 4 year old about an operation
NannyAdelle replied to NannyAdelle's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks Grotty. The operation is next weds. So we don't have too much time to play with. I was planning to wait until after the weekend to mention it but going by your advice perhaps I will start the conversation this evening. And this is why the ED forum is brilliant. Helpful advice when needed -
Explaining to a 4 year old about an operation
NannyAdelle replied to NannyAdelle's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks pickle. That's exactly what I was worried about doing. Give him a "child friendly" version that then gives him a fear eg butterflies. You are right He does know how his tonsils are always making him feel ill. So I will start with that and see what questions he has and go from there. Thanks for the tips. It's I'm very nervous. I know it's a common procedure but you would rather go through it instead of them wouldn't you x
