  1. It's not RD's fault - he is only regurgitating what The ManU message boards.....etc.

He was an all-rounder back then... either that or all this was before Huge got prescription lenses. Unknowingly indeed.

God enough already!), as Evra definitely drops his hand when Suarez gets to him - I think it was more instinctive (as I said before - a playground thing) than planned but it is there.
  4. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Glen Johnson's attempt at post-rationalisation > hasn't done himself any favours... I thought the same thing back then - I think it may seem like post rationalisation as it is so long after the event. For Messi - one audacious chip over the GK's head would be great - two is ridiculous. It was also his 8th hat trick of the season! Unbelievable.
  5. Struggling - and relying on loan-ee Lansbury and new boy Vaz Te - not good signs. Why is it always like that at home? Wacky theory #13. - I don't think home form has been tip-top since they moved the West Stand back years ago and had that big gap between pitch and stand which they never properly closed. Maybe it's a taste of what would happen to home form if the move to the Olympic Stadium went through.

Look on (almost) any thread and you will see so much of it in action... particularly if Huguenot and Undisputedtruth are having a (ahem) debate... ...and *Bob*'s your man for jazz B)
  7. My objection to the new crossings was and is a cost one - I think it is an unnecessary expense and not a badly needed amenity. The response from some has been as though I was against a new maternity ward or meals on wheels. It's a couple of crossings we don't need at a time when we have no money. But at least there won't be railings.

You mean like Aching Azaleas and Bilious Bindweed - not to mention the Whingeing Willow and Bickering Buttercup... Good work CC - anything in the 'wildflower' category gets my vote.

Perfect sense - I think railings are a terrible idea.
  10. Will either crossing have railings?

  12. @Huge... Aren't the Irish having a referendum on the 'fiscal compact'? Will this be the usual Irish referendum - where they 'vote no' until told otherwise then 'vote yes' just as the EC want them to? I love a good 'rewording' I do.
  13. There is no truth in the rumour that saying Marion OHalloran 16 times quickly can bring on a migraine.
  14. This is a 'whoosh' thread for me too... in the mid to late 80s I was listening to simple stuff like DJ mixes of James Brown/Marvin Gaye/Slim Gaillard on Sunday nights down at the Harp Club in New Cross.

If you call him before going he will cook to order so it's ready for pick-up - very good haddock last time - he even battered a burger for my OH (it's a Cork thing). Much better than Sea Cow imho.

  18. How can you say that when they have Arshavin honing his skills in St Petersburg, just waiting to pick up the slack? *waves irony flag to forestall agreeing gooners*
  19. Most of Trevor Horn's ZTT list from the 80s... Propaganda, Art of Noise, Anne Pigalle ("Why Does It Have To BeThis Way") Frankie Goes to H., 808 State ("Pacific State")... No longer fashionable really but they're all still there - even if only as background to sports montages.... And on that same 'theme': Yello and Human League.

I'm surprised to hear you say that. I felt sure you would be worried about breaches to the hull...
  21. In the interests of stirring it balance, I think the OP should post her email to Miss Z so we can all revel in the tattered remains of her dirty laundry judge fairly.
