  1. In the dim distant past British boys and girls were reared on fine fresh/home cooked food. Egg & Chips. When there was not meat to be had... egg & chips. When dad lost his job... egg & chips. When the dog got at the brisket... egg & chips (and a free kick at the dog). On 'Meat Free Mondays'... egg & chips. A treat when you were sick... egg & chips. A nation bound together by simple pleasures and a chip pan. All was swell until, sometime in the early 1970s, those fiends at Findus brought out their damnable Crispy Pancakes. Then everything went to Hell in a hand- Oh hello!

  4. As it was a BBC site I ignored all the multiple choice questions and wrote-in my own answers - I passed and got offered a choice between: Head of 'Thinkability' seminars for 2013 (with special emphasis on corridor management). Producer of new BBC3 series (they only have the title so far - "Gangs or Gardening"). Car-Park Attendant (much sought after position as it is one of the last positions not being moved north).

As well as being a leaner meat than pork, the animals are allowed to roam over a wide area and are nearly always despatched with a rifle 'in the field' because - being wild, unpredictable and dangerous animals - trying to capture them and send them to an abbatoir is usually considered too difficult/dangerous. Cannot guarantee this is always the case so suggest you try boar from sillfield farm at borough market. They do a very tasty wild boar salami and pancetta too.
  8. Well it is only covering a brick wall - hardly the most interesting view in the world - and it makes Glazer Delmar look like a drive-in solicitors which is quite funny if you're very bored.

Does anyone else enjoy doing gardening > to a very high standard? If not, what standard do > most people achieve when doing gardening? Oh quite high, I think about 12ft+. No greenhouse - no garden as such just a sunny area of concrete roof/patio festooned with containers - yet still picking ripe tomatoes, chilli peppers, marjoram and thyme etc. and surrounded by tall sunflowers, nasturtiums, lobelia, violets and petunias - all about to die off I'm sure and yet they keep on going. Or have I just confused standards with altitude? That's what comes of posters pronouncing from their high horses... or should that be tall horses?

UDT was listening to bouncy music, eating a bowl of KTnumbers' bespoke cereal "flouncy", beating all comers to the best speakers in a trouncy fashion and seizing on them in a pouncy manner so it was obviously - Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!!!

DulwichFox Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What next..? > > Clapham Known as 'Clarm' > > Battersea Known as 'Bat Ter Sea' > > East Dulwich.. ?? mmmhhm ' Es Dul' Clarm and Bat-terse-see-ah have been around for a while as have more desperate attempts like Saint Reatham and Saint Ockwell and indeed L'Ovale. I suspect the future could be Dulwich ? l'est or Dulwich ? l'est (du village) as there is wine making nearby... and also Dulwich Gauche & Dulwich Orientales. Personally I'd prefer something with a touch of the Domesday book about it like Dulwich Sinister perhaps?
