Could we ban single use carrier bags in ED?

I apologise - I didn't realise you required all your vegetarian food to be made up into ready meals for you by major supermarket chains. I had stupidly assumed that you might have the ability to buy very cheap and nutritious frozen veg (for example peas, beans, spinach) such as Iceland has in abundance or fresh veg and fruit (as can often be seen hiding in the Co-op in the large area before one reaches the ready meals section) and actually 'cook' (you can Google this term) your own veggie delights. Life sure is tough for you veggies. Where exactly DO you find your meat-free meals at such a Lordship-Lane-free price one is tempted to enquire? -
It's as though these men live in a parallel universe where: "yes, we all have to be PC now and not say this stuff - but really it's still awright between mates innit, I mean, we know what we mean, there's no offence intended, I've got black mates for crimminy's sake!." -is the default position. The fact that no it isn't 'awright' and that it really, really DOES matter is what needs to be hammered home. Career ending? No. As long as there's contrition, genuine understanding as to WHY it is unacceptable and proof that the lesson is learned.

Agreed some comparisons are OTT but any thread with a title that begins: "Could we ban..." (with, admittedly, an added irrational rage here at the smugness of the 'we' as though we all think the same things) deserves to be answered with a resounding "No we xxxxing couldn't!" -
El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I guess it also covers things like the ice-bucket > challenge Or the collective feeling that the i-b.c. and other excuses-to-put-more-self-regarding-'look-at-me-aren't-I-wacky'-type-photos-all-over-social-media (planking, Owling, Batmanning etc etc etc) are arse-achingly dull, uninspired, sheep-like activities that are capable of provoking irrational rage?

On an unrelated note - good to see Coventry are going back to the Ricoh; be interesting to see what crowds they get now (1st game probably Gillingham).

But the asking price is 3400

Otherwise known as The Snug. Reminds me of a big old pub near where I grew up that had five different entrances to: a bar, a lounge, a snug, a smoke room and an off-sales.

Rule of thumb for cutting trees infringing on garden
maxxi replied to traveler2's topic in The Lounge
If it's a large (tall) specimen then trimming one side only may unbalance it and make it unstable - possibly to the point it becomes a safety hazard which means it falls into a different category. This could persuade your neighbour to trim their side accordingly.
