I admit that I'm not perfect, Twatticus, but I always strive to maintain and display a firm grasp on the English language. Would you care to provide evidence that proves otherwise?
-
My advice to the Irish would be to learn to tread water.
-
Seeing as you yourself have proven on countless occasions throughout this thread that you're not exactly on speaking terms with reality, I find what I've quoted you on very difficult to believe. In fact, I'd even go as far as openly suspecting you of being no older than 14, seeing as you seem incapable of stringing a sentence together within in a coherent structure. And you stiil haven't validated your claims that what I've written with regards to hunting large game with a bow is untrue. As ever, in your own time, young lady.
-
It would seem that 'I' am also under Captain Scarlet's skin. How encouraging.
-
Pearson, rest assured, I'm not getting worked-up, no matter how intelligent you think I am. I'm simply challenging those, yourself included, to provide me with a shred of evidence that what I claim is untrue. But so far, all any of you have done is evade my requests to substantiate your claims, which says a lot, quite frankly. But please, allow me to let you in on the real joke. The images you're posting betray a weak mind, unable to connect what the image conveys to what you're attempting to deride. In short, they're fairly weak and only achieve a generic relation at best. So, back to the drawing board, Pearson.
-
Pearson, you're quite clearly a walking lobotomy. And your comments on this thread only serve to underscore your glaring,self-confessed impairment.
-
Annette, I could attach or link you to a plethora of images that feature men posing over a dead animal, and further images confirming that the meat had been harvested for human consumption i.e - hanging and jointing. But that would be futile, because the likes of you would then come along and (understandably) refute the authenticity of the attached images, claiming they could be anyone. Forgive me for note posing over my last kill with a piece of paper that has "Scribe - East Dulwich Forum". But you already knew that would be the case, so, for now, your requests have no bearing on this thread. But you seem to be the one struggling to believe what many people know to be common place all over the world, so when you think about it, the owness is on you to investigate, not I. The reason I may have come across as "aggressive and a little shouty, frothy round the mouth" is because you, among others, keep insinuating that what I'm writing isn't true, but you keep evading my requests to substantiate those claims, but you don't/can't. Why is that?
-
Was that supposed to be funny? Because it wasn't. But more to the point, who said/wrote anything about a "primitive crossbow", whatever that is? Or is it just a creation you grasped at to bolster what can only be described as a weak attempt at humour?
-
May I make a suggestion? Thanks. Annette Curtain - Hetty Wainthropp. Aquarious Moon - Precarious Loon. Captain Scarlet - Corporal Jones.
-
Yet more, utterly baseless supposition. Just because an opinion is widely held, Annette, that doesn't mean it's fact. And why are you so unwilling to accept that I hunt game with a bow or a crossbow abroad? If you were actually concerned about finding the answer, and visited some of the online sites and communities, you'd find that there are literally thousands of bow hunters that travel to the EU to hunt game with the intent of harvesting the meat for their own consumption. But, seeing as you've proved time and time again on this thread that you are completely incapable of accepting fact, and instead insist that this is some sort of wind-up, you'll just fall back on the same, tired argument and stick your fingers in your ears. And another thing. Are you even remotely capable of coherently structuring a basic sentence without it straying all over the page?
-
A willfully evasive, sympathy-seeking fantasist, more like.
-
What's "BS", and how have you come to the conclusion that there are no other hunters in East Dulwich, Katie? Surely only a small minority of those who live in East Dulwich know this board exists, thus their views or hunting activities remain unaccounted for.
-
Going by Hal 9000's rational responses, I'm guessing he's read everything on this thread. Not, like you, the bits he chooses to read, Aquarious loon.
-
Although an OP on a public message board must be considered an open invitation to comment by both reader and author alike, I wasn't specifically talking/writing to you at the beginning of this thread. But you've gone out of your way to make it your business, so I'm returning the favour. Stop being so absurdly precious, not to mention dishonestly evasive, in that you're yet to put forward any reasoned and unemotional views that go towards undermining the legitimate hunting of game with a view to eating said animal. Probably because you don't have any, other than the same, repetitive bleating. In your own time. But try to make yourself heard some time this year, if that's not too much to ask.
-
Probably because you're so actively opposing what is widely aknowledged as a perfectly natural act. And what's the matter, can't take the heat?
-
Aquarius loon, Oooo, boo hoo. Forgive me, I never once suspected that you were so fragile. How dare I contest the opinion of an anonymous entity on an online message board who's been posting on here longer than I have. Such outrage! Get a grip and get over yourself. I did recieve plenty of support, but I'll grant you, I can't prove it. Although no less than you can prove that you plod around East Dulwich in a pair of plastic shoes. Which is no-doubt a fairytale told by you to strengthen what is clearly a child-like and dangerously naive position. With any luck, you'll be knocked into your senses by one of those G-Wiz electric vegan-mobiles.

Thank you, DJKQ. Like Hal 9000's reply, it was devoid of the petty bias and gross supposition that has dogged me throughout this thread. And thank you to the many users on this forum who have contacted me privately to offer their support, and some useful leads, too. Thanks again.
-
It would be a futile to hunt me, Captain Scarlet. I'm too adept at camouflage. Besides, I'd put an arrow in your gut before you even got close enough to "skin me and rip my skull and spine out". Judging by your self-confessed fantasies of violence, Captain Scarlet, one can only conclude that you harbour issues involving deep, personal anger. I suggest you seek help, before it's too late.
-
Thank you, Hal 9000, for your considerate and unbiased reply. If anything, it's nice to see that people with a grain of common sense still exist in East Dulwich. Once again, much obliged.
-
No, Pearson, that's not me on holiday. But if it was, which it isn't, wouldn't it be in 2010? Dumbass.
-
There's a sit-in at New Cross Library tonight. The masses with overdue books wait with bated breath...
-
1/10, Pearson.
-
That's some fine, baseless supposition you've got going on there, Lawrence. I have two large freezers in my basement. And, as I've already stated, any meat that I can't fit in those two freezers is given to friends and family to enjoy. No trolling on my part, just a friendly OP that's been willfully misconstrued, so as to fit the agenda of people who oppose hunting. You clearly haven't payed much attention to this thread.
-
RosieH, hunting with a bow is not out of date.
-
No, I haven't, you imbecile. You can't answer the question for either one or two reasons. 1. You know what you've written is false, as an exercise can only be deemed prehistoric if it hasn't been practiced, for whatever reason, since prehistory. In your reasoning, eating and sex would be seen as prehistoric. A bow is still aknowledged to be a practical and popular instrument to hunt with. Fact. 2. You're too stupid to construct a viable counter-argument. Please, take all the time you need.
