  1. Reposting one last time, new super-low asking price of £150 (ONO) A beautiful mid-century modern refectory-style table. I bought this from west London dealer Retrouvious around 10 years ago. Features period "Joy Division" grafitti on the side, and has other patina marks. Measures 183cm x 83.5cm, 76.5cm high. A well-loved piece that needs a new home (sadly!) DM me to discuss, this must goo soon!

A well-loved piece that needs a new home (sadly!) £100 (ONO) (dropped the price very significantly!)
  3. 4 classic mid-century modern plywood stacking chairs. In great condition, lovely colour wood. Features slot at the back, (originally for books?). £200 (ONO) for the set of 4. (dropped the price a bit!)
  4. Yes to Aston! Installed shelves in our kitchen, drilling thru existing tiling. Perfect job, no fuss. Ta!
  5. I had an issue in SE22 around that time; my downstairs neighbour's basement flat extension had partly separated from the main building because of subsidence, so I in effect was prevented me from selling my top floor flat until fixed. Whether that basement flat extension was poorly executed in the first place, I do not know. It took several years to resolve (partly due to the owner being abroad, and the insistence of their insurer on removing trees and "waiting to see what happens"), and I sold up and moved on shortly after.
  6. Certainly the team at Lloyds repeatedly seem very confused and unclear on why they don't have my prescription... was instructive to hear someone else have the same discussion with them as I had (whilst queuing for the third time in a day only to leave empty-handed). Unclear to me whether the problem lies with Lloyds or with my GP; they both blame each other. But definitely time to try another pharmacy.
  7. Brilliant, fast, friendly, very fairly priced. Top recommendation for a radiator repair in minutes.
  8. Found a credit card belonging to 'Watkins' on Crystal Palace Road. If it's yours, please DM me with your details and the type of card.
  9. Hey, Bradley has done several jobs for me over the years. Both interior and full exterior work has been carried out to a high standard in a friendly and professional manner. Recommended!
  10. I need two strong people to move a wardrobe up some stairs in my house. Wardrobe measures 176 x 90 x 60 cm.
  11. Found a digital device and trying to trace the owner. Anyone recognise these dogs, who I presume belong to the owner of the item?
  12. Hi all. Just found an iPad on Fenwick Road. If you think it's yours, please DM me with a description the case and screensaver image.
  13. Billy just talked me through fixing my boiler over the phone, gratis. What a star. No thanks to my insurance company who cannot cope and whose phone lines automatically cut me off! Time to cancel that policy.
  14. Has anybody managed to get the site to work properly? Get all the way through the questionnaire, the 'payment details' for the free offer... 'contact your administrator'... computer says no. Poor.
  15. Been to lane-swim twice since the handover. First time pool was in a bit of a state, rubbish and a household fliptop bin poolside. I was greeted with what felt like a warning that even as a non-member I would not be able to use the facilities in the future without a card (eg: surrender your details). Second time, what I was told was an 8" wide 'safety zone' ("cos there's only one pool attendant")had been cordoned off on the edge of fast lane, making it significantly smaller than the medium lane, which in turn was probably 50% smaller than the vast ocean of a slow lane. With barely anyone in it. Greeted again with an exhortation to fill out commercial paperwork or risk exclusion from a local authority facility. Nice to see they've taken the time to jazz-up the wall of the pool with an ad for the merchandise in reception/shop, though. Ha, and indeed, rumph.
  16. Not much of an exaggeration to say that Dr Stephens at The Gardens helped save my life a couple of years back. V grateful. Wish it were easier to get an appointment though, never sure exactly what the drill is...
  17. Hi ? I'm looking for someone to re-set a post in a section of garden fence ? it's still standing but increasingly wobbly. Someone repaired earlier in the year but it clearly needs doing better! Any recommendations for properly competent tradespeople welcome!
  18. Just had builders in; breathing in plaster dust etc... can anyone recommend a good cleaning firm to do a proper deep clean, as opposed to a bit of hoovering and dusting? Ta!
  19. good work from Brad. Straighforward, easy to work with. Thanks!
  20. Radiators and toilet fixed. Good job. Thanks!
  21. Has anyone else had unexpected knocks at the door late at night from *ahem* 'professionals'? Has happened to me maybe three times in the past year or so, again just now ? a charming lady of advancing years with pink hair. They seem to have the right address, but are asking for 'Dave'. First time it happened I'd fallen asleep watching The Shining, which added a somewhat surreal edge to it all. Concerned that 'Dave' may be getting a bit frustrated if his freelance consultants keep going astray. Weird.
  22. Hi ? I need to get the steps outside my house resurfaced ? they've been tarmaced badly prior to me owning the property and the tarmac has 'melted', leaving a hole. Anyone out there have any recommendations? ta!
  23. Hello folks, looking to get a quote to repaint the exterior of a three-storey on Barry Road. Also need some repair to brickwork and path. All recommendations gratefully received.
