  1. @ Mako, please make sure you clearly re-read my post. I stated clearly - I do not appreciate seeing men urinating in public - I do not wish to see male genitalia whilst out walking my dog. At no point did I say anything about smells. What makes this thread absurd is comments such as your own.
  2. Cella I am 100% behind you in this. I am a dog walker and sick and tired of seeing boys/men openly urinating! Why can't they be discreet? I find it totally disgusting and often tell them so! So good on you for reporting to the police
  3. In my local area - just behind Rye Lane. I have noticed in the early hours of the morning - some Eastern European looking men, driving around in a open top van, going through rubbish bins as well as recycling bins, collecting items that are of interest to them. This too has been happening for some weeks now.
  4. Yesterday I was in the mini park around the corner from my house, and I noticed they had 2 signs tied to the gate posts with the questionaire attached. Looks like Southwark intend to roll this out to all green spaces in their borough. :-((
  5. I imagine they are practicing for the carnival :-) I love the sounds these guys make and wish them much success!!
  6. Like I posted earlier - Dogs are the latest species to become extinct!!
  7. Two weeks ago on Sunday 4th August - I had no telephone line or broadband for around 9 hours. I was informed that the local telephone exchange was down.
  8. I was walking in Peckham Rye Park with my dog yesterday and had a leaflet given to me. I am getting increasingly fed up of the dog hating that has recently been sparked up. Questionnaires like this on add more fuel to the fire. Are dogs now to become and an extinct species now?
  9. C'mon pexprincess - all but one of the hundred hairdressing salon's on Rye Lane and the side streets, are run by unqualified hairdressers. I don't mind hairdressers - as long as they are decent and kept in a clean satisfactory manner, and of course, don't discard their rubbish into the streets. Like I said before - wonders how they have bypassed Environmental Health checks.
  10. Agrees with LondonMix regarding how well done Brixton looks, however we have to admit, Peckham Rye Lane is a complete eyesore. I have often have wondered have Enviromental Health forsaken the place - so many terrible butcher shops as well as too many hairdressing salons - who seem to discard their waste directly onto the streets. I for one hope they bulldoze the lot down, as soon as possible. Rye Lane to me means just squalor!
  11. Does a long sigh... and agrees with you entirely. Further more in this day and age - your dammed if you do and certainly dammed if you don't!!
  12. Omg I a dog owner and no way would I have denied if my dog had bitten you - so sorry this has happened to you - and please - do not think all dog owners are as irresponsible as these women were.
  13. Yes I do have come across this lady - lovely dog and yes she is a little abrupt but I just assume its her way and still continue to greet her with a smile. I think if anything she is a little lonely and perhaps shy.
  14. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Gatwick :-((
  15. @davidh I agree with you strongly. Every time there is a newspaper story the media creates mass hysteria. I wish every story of animal cruelty could be reported - I am sure you would see more harm, violence and neglect is done by humans to animals every single day!!
