Is there anywhere to work at Dulwich library?

I have full sympathy for you and your family. I think it is hard, coming from aboard I had a great relationship with my GP- i saw the same one everytime and had great continuation of care- it is essential that you see the same GP especially for people suffering from ongoing illness or depression (also for children who can go down hill very fast). I have yet to find a doctors in this area that you would see regularly (with out booking 4 weeks in advanced) Please let me know if I am wrong but this sort of care is failing our community. I have full respect for the NHS but attending my local doctors was shocking. Having lived in many different countries this service is by far the worst.

I have 3 young boys 5,3,newborn... Does anyone have any recommendations for presents that your boys/girls liked at this age? We are getting them bikes for Christmas so just little things we can recommend to grandparents...I really don't want to get things we are going to throw away....We have lego and trains ect.... Anything unusual that was a hit.....

I was wanting to set up a messy play table for my 3 year old. Do you know of any health hazards for them playing with compost (top soil)? I will be supervising so will not allow to eat. Thank you all the gardeners in advance (I myself do not have green fingers)

Can anyone recommend a hotel for a family with 3 children... we would like somewhere that has a family room rather than two adjoining rooms. We would like an indoor pool too! Any recommendations would be amazing as I can't seem to find anywhere which is reasonable (all other hotels are ?300+ a night)

I agree, I have only found one activity he enjoys at the moment. I have also looked at different preschools but haven't loved any of them so far.. I will keep trying to find different things to take him too...it gets harder when its cold outside.

Thank you all for your replies, we went to Toddlers world and I didnt find it that good for my energetic 3 year old...Will try the other one after school holidays.

Are most people in the area happy with the GP's? It seems to me that all practices are at max capacity and that getting an appointment is very difficult. Not only do you need to wait 20 minutes plus to speak to reception you then have to wait until a GP calls you back to see if you are ill enough to get an appointment on that day. I have also never seen the same GP at my practice more than once(and those regular GPs are booked weeks and weeks in advanced). As an area is there anything we can do about either opening a new GP service or improving the service for the people who live in this area?

Do you do any morning classes around this area? This is school pick up time but we would Love to pop in.

This is such good news, we have just moved back to the UK and we were hoping that ED would do trick or treating! My children are very very excited. What time do you think we should take our children out this year? What is the normal time for a pre-schooler and year 1? We would normally go out around 5.30ish back home.

My son has just started at DVIS and we work with the SENCO who is fantastic. Overall I couldn't have hoped for a better school (my son doesn't have autism but another medical problem therefore couldn't comment on that area.).

Having recently moved back to the UK I was wanting some advice on the meningitis b vaccine. Do a lot of parents pay for this vaccine for older children? Over 2 yrs? Did your child have any side effect? Thank you
