  1. My partner witnessed an attack around Christmas, similar to yours but the woman's had her child in the back seat too! she was dragged for a while as she tried to hold onto the bag. When police were called they were aware of a spate of attacks. This attack happened at the back by the recycling bins. Police said its not covered by the cctv that end.
  2. Just called thames,,theyve had trouble with a burst mains all day and have tried turning it on a few times which is why theres been a little water in the taps. She said theyre working on it as we speak" Worst case scenario- off till 9:30pm!"

Well weve lived on the East Dulwich/ Peckham borders for 14 years...My kids, now 18&15, have grown up here. We were burgled once, years ago and he was a young drug user who was promptly caught by his DNA. weve had any trouble since!!I dont know where all this doom and gloom is coming from..~If you're gonna live in London then East Dulwich far outweighs a lot of other areas. I've got relatives living in Devon who daren't go out at night as the kids are anti social and making everyone's life a misery..Get a grip!we got it pretty good
  4. I agree with Peckham rose..It seems no worse than anywhere else and Rye Oak children's Centre is a great facility for your young family
  5. Home=Start Southwark run a multiple birth drop-in called 'Two tots or more' at Ivydale childrens centre on Thursdays 9:30=11:30.Its a lovely room and they are very welcoming to newcomers xx
  6. You could try Home-Start Southwark.A children's charity based in Camberwell who recruit and train volunteers to support families with young children who are under stress. They cover the whole of southwark and could match you with a family in this area. Their number is 0207 358 6698
  7. We have 2 daughters 13 & 16. Both go to Sydenham girlswhich is a 15 min bus ride away in Lewisham. A lot of the local girls go there and the boys go to forest hill boys. Both are community schools and allthe families we know are happy with them. Of course they dont have the money for trips abroad so we do our best to give them that experience We tried for Southwark schools but we have no special needs so not much chance there! Its easy to get to victoria too so theres Pimlico which is mixed and has a brill music dept and theresGrey coat hospital for girls.185 bus straight there. If you're supportive parents your kids will do well wherever they go.
  8. Yes my daughter and her friend(aged15) were followed off the bus at Nero's and followed home by 2 girls. They stole her friends phone and pushed them about a bit. As this took place in our front garden they were absolutely terrified to report it as the girls know where they live!! These girls are regularly around Grove Vale and Lordship Lane, They've been pointed out to me!! They even had the nerve to wave to my daughter the other day! they obviously feel untouchable. I spoke to the local police at the last fair on Goose Green and they gave me their mobile to call when I see them. They are aware of them but all the kids are too scared to report it Unfortunately I havent seen them since! There's 3 of them in this gang, all girls aged 15-16 yrs.. One African who's about 5'2 and quite fat, a tall skinny mixed race and a small mouthy asian. They seem to wear mostley black but the asian girl has a khaki coat too
