The female doctor is great. Can take a week to get an appointment though with her (but I have never had something very urgent to see her about)

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
Mutrik replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James, I just found out that the 100hrs pharmacy at Dulwich Medical Centre on Crystal Palace Road has been approved by the PCP(?) However it says that DMC still need to apply to the local authority for permission to use the premises as 100hrs. Can people who live close to DMC have their say as part of the process of the local authority reviewing the application? Thank you! -
advice on ovens - child safety, ikea etc
Mutrik replied to kmoon249's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi, Not sure if this helps at all... We bought our oven from ikea about 3 years ago and am not sure if it is a Nutid or Framtid. The child lock is good, however I feel it takes a long time to heat up. It can also get a bit hot from the outside, although not hot enough for a child to get burnt. If I was to choose today between ikea or John Lewis, I would definitely go for John Lewis. -
Asthma diagnosis in young babies?
Mutrik replied to midivydale's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Oh no! Hope he is better soon. (and it would be great to catch up when he is better.) x -
I used to go to King's regularly whilst pregnant and used the car park that INMCD mentions below. Straightforward but was full on a couple of occasions ( out of plenty visits) INMCD Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I always park in the car park just before Kings on > the left hand side where the garden centre used to > be. Quite reasonable & there's usually spaces. > They do ask you to manoeuvre your car into a small > space though! x

Hi, Yes, contact the twin club (I am a member). They should be able to put you in contact with parents who have gone through the same type of pregnancy (one gestational sac etc) You could also get advice from parents who have gone through the same experience of having young children and then expecting twins ( and even triplets) as child no 3, 4 & 5! I went through a 'higher risk' pregnancy and had regular scans at King's and they were great, so you are in safe hands. Good luck. X

Door knocking from Kings College Hospital???
Mutrik replied to whatamess's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We had someone from King's a year or two ago, asking for money. To me it seemed odd that King's would have to go and knock on doors for money. He did seem genuine though (well at least for what I could tell) -
There is one close to Acorn estate agents on Lordship Lane. Not sure what it is called though.

Sleep-deprived mothers of two under 3 years

And try to ignore the state of the house (easier said than done sometimes). Don't beat yourself up for not cooking Nigella type dinners - Fish fingers does the trick. But when you do cook, make a massive batch so it's enough for the whole family for a couple of days. -
Interested in cycle to work in the City?
Mutrik replied to jonsuissy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The guys in North Cross Road charged me ?30 for a service. My bike had been in the shed for 4 years....... Saying that, it is nice to have a permanent bike shop around so I will try out BC bikes next time. damzel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What a great idea! Hi, The next twin ante natal work shop at King's is on 3 october at 9.30am. It is lead by King's College Hospital midwives, but there is also one or two members of the twin club who comes along to speak about their Birthing and feeding experiences. http://ddtwinsclub.org/new/support/kings-college-hospital-talks/

I was there on Saturday and it was still closed. One of the reception staff said they hoped (but could not guarantee) to have part of it open Monday (yesterday) but all of it would not be. They were not sure when all of it would be open again.

Hi. My little ones also had reflux. It happened a couple of times a day and a lot came up. It looked like the whole bottle! Doctor would not give them any medication as it did not happen every time they fed and they were putting on weight. I just took it as one of those things and they grew out of it eventually (well, by the time they're we're about one). It was pretty hard work though. I saw the doctors at King's who did not seem worried. I would suggest to go and see a doctor though, if nothing else but to put your mind at rest.

Application for extended late licence at the Great Exhibition
Mutrik replied to BigED's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I emailed Dorcas at the council who said that anyone can attend, but only those who have opposed the application will be allowed to have their say. Others can listen in. I have opposed, but am yet to receive an invitation though...... -
