  2. Yes Nette a snake bite would be a good hand in bite poker but am sure it could be beaten. I never fancied getting bit by a camel, and heard it's not good. And yes, I am sure a camel can fart.
  3. Poor Nette, I feel for you as I am the same, though not as bad. I too swear by Avon dry oil body spray and it has worked for everyone i have told about it. I also never got bitten or maby never reacted to bites until 8 years ago. My Doctor told me that some people can devlop certain reactions as they get older. I have devloped a chronic reaction to insect bites which was brought on, in my case by a snake bite which i was lucky to surive. I got amune to over the counter allergy tabs, so now my doc prescribes stronger ones which i can take daily and if i get bit nothing happens. The main reason for infection is scratching, which i know is virtualy impossible not to do.
  4. Lifes too short, i aint going to comment but Nette you have restored my appitite (had a bad bad bad belly bug for the last 3 days)
  5. When you really think about it, orange is a strange colour anyway' so doe's it really matter that nothing rhymes with it. Ican't see any thing orange in my house except an orange

  12. What about "Mickmacmagoole" in the 3.40 at Ludlow today.
  13. I see "Micky Mac" is running in the 3.25 in Redcar today. Now dosen`t that ring a bell.
  14. i`ve got my line rental down to ?6.50 a month because when it comes to upgrade i dont take a new phone so they (t-mobile) drop my rental instead. At the moment i`ve got 300 min 300 texts 60 international mins and unlimited internet for ?6.50. most times it works out cheaper to buy your own phone.so phone and dongle ?14 a month. And i`ve just been told by a friend that i wont need the dongle any more because the new android phone i recently bought can plug into my laptop and i can use the net that way.Its called usb tethering. if this works i can cancel the dongle as my 18 month contract is just up and it wont affect my line rental because they are seprate contracts.I have been with t-mobile since year dot
  15. I got a dongle for my laptop in the shop from my mobile phone provider, and because i`ve been with them a while i got it half price (?7.50 a month unlimited usage). Then i discover that it only works when i am close to the front window as the back half of the shop is in a black spot(no signal area). After a lot of research the answer seemed to be, if you want to use your computer stand by the window (no effin way was i doing that). Then a client told me get a 3G wireless router. Went to pc world and they told me,no such thing get back in your space ship. Went to Maplin and you wont belive it,i was told to put my dongle in a plastic bag so it dont get wet and put it on the roof and run a usb cable from dongle to laptop,i know i`m Irish but... Got a 3G wireless router online (?40). So i put the router near the window and shoved my dongle into the router which then sends the internet to my laptop wirelessley. If you still have connection problems you can plug an ariel into the dongle and run it outside.(ideal for basement flats).Plus i think up to 4 people can connect at any given time.So Alan down to cost, if i was your student, 3 friends in the house giving me ?3 a month i make ?1.50 a month profit.problem solved. By the way it took me 1 hour 10 mins. to type this so dont ask me too many ?. Every one is welcome to pop in and see the setup.
  16. Hi to all, this is my first post and sorry to it may come across as a bit of a moan but i feel i must stand up here for my profession as 'untamedstylist' for the second time has, i believe degraded barbers and the art of cutting mens hair. Firstly untamedstylist answer to jamesm and MSB post are 100% correct, but then to Mick Macs post he states "there is a difference between a hairdresser and a barber ...clippers being the obvious...but if you want a simple short back and sides, a flat top or an all over grade, or indeed a skin fade a barbers is your best bet." Mick Mac recommended us and this was your reply. You seem to imply barbers can only use clippers and just do short back and sides and more so Barry Road Barbers as you directly answered Mick Macs recomendation. You also make it sound like that any man who goes to a barbers is not fashionable. There seems no doubt your a talented hairdresser from reading this forum but you seem out of touch with modern day barbering. Yes we do short back and sides in my shop ( which is a lot more technical than a lot of womens cuts) and a lot of my clients have longer hair, and as you call them, fashion cuts. Barbers are trained in all aspects or hair lengths and styles. How dare you say hairdressers are more fashion orientated and more about layers, shape, personalisation, suitably and fashion etc etc than barbers. Barbers dont just shave hair of everyone that comes through the door, we take all of this into consideration as well, otherwise there would be no repeat cusromers which is vital to my shop as we dont rely soley on passing trade. And we do use top branded products(but untamedstylist reckons barbers use cheap muck) It sounds to me that jamesm (i may be wrong) went to a hairdressers where he/she was not happy and you have a pop at barbers, then you as a hairdresser, plug yourself at the bottom of your post, (p.s... i do mens for ?20 and come to you after 8pm) well now its my time for a plug. To all Gents and Boys out there:, Barry Road Barbers is a small shop on Barry Rd. where we pay rent, rates, taxes, wages etc Walk in at your own pleasure, sit in the comfort of a barbers chair, have a free beer, tea or coffee whilst having your hair styled. We are fully trained in all aspects of gents hair from traditional, to mordern up-to-date trends. So anyone wanting to try us i am offering 25% off our services (Tues. to Fri.)until the end of May for first time clients only.
