  1. What I would like to see is 1 or 2 NFL teams coming over for a round robin tournament with our own Teams thus Promoting the game and international relations and raising the profile of our teams as well as the NFL teams!! I cant help thinking that it was a selfish excersize simply to make money??
  2. Gerry, I can asure you that I have nothing againsed the Americans! Or even American football for that matter! I have a problem with the NFL!! Surely we should be promoting Our own American football teams?!? Teams from the NFL could come over once in a while for an exibition match to promote the game? In the same way they took MLB to Japan merely to promaote the game! And now Baseball in Japan is huge! If I moved to Australia, I would understand that I would be leaving Premiersship footy behind and would be joyed to see teams come over for pre season friendlies. But I wouldnt expect anything more. In fact im sure I would be incouraged to support what ever local team I happened to be near! P.s Sorry if my spelling isnt up to scratch!
  3. Dulwich hamlet give me your answer too. Im half crazy, for the pink and blue. It wont be a stylish Passage cos we cant afford a cariage. But we'll be true, supporting you, the famous pink and blue ooooooo!!!
  4. OK well why stop at America. Lets take Premiership games to India. And the Ashes to Japan. Why is that this game has got such a high profile? Its not about The love of the game. I just think its a shame for sport Everywhere. I feel that this is now the begginning of the end. I feel that sport in general is being taken away from us, bit by bit. How good does it feel when your team is winning? How long will it be before we stop enjoying sport for what it is or WAS?
  5. All I know is that if my Team played a couple of home games in the states. I'd be P***ed off
  6. What about the integrety of the NFL? If I was a Miami Dulphins fan, I would be offended that thay play away from home to seek support from elsewhere and to make an extra buck or two. Of course poeple will enjoy the experience. But in terms of a permanant fixture. Im not so sure
  7. Gooner your right. There is nothing we can do about it! Look I can just about understand if it was an exibition match to promote the game and give NFL sapporter in this country a taste. But it wasnt. this was a proper NFL game for there league! THERE league! I could understand if it was two of our teams playing there! But it wasnt. There now thinking of having regular games there! I would be interested to hear what American sapporters over the pond think? I mean can you ever imagin having a Premiership Darby, Say Liverpool v Man utd in the states? there would be Many Upset fans surely??
  8. OK, Ive just watched highlights of Miami Dulphins v New York Giants And I had to look around to remind my self where I was. I could be forgiven for thinking I was in a hotel room somewhere in the States watching the American ESPN Channel. Is there anyone else who thinks its an odd idea to have NFL games at the home of FOOTBALL!!!?? I feel that we as a nation have been very open and accomedating to our friends across the pond. But do we not have to drew the line somewhere are we loosing what it means to be Americans,,,,,I mean British??
  9. Muttley. I want to thank you for your post. Its bad enough travelling by bus without having to wait! Its true what you say. Its not really the waiting its the not knowing when the dam thing will arrive?! I now avoid taking the bus where possible! I much prefere walking as I know how long it will take. I can plan my journey! ( how the hell do you spell journey?) lol I'm a smoker and its sods law that the bus comes right at the time I light my fag. So now I light up as if to summon the Bus god into action! It usually works! I also have a problem with the regular info too. They say the bus comes every 10 to 12 mins which is also B*****ks (rubbish)! Perhaps this is there way of reducing our carbon foot print by inticing us to walk. Who knows!
